Disney gone to far this time with duffy he the dark side of evil

At first I didn't care at all about Duffy. But after they kept shoving him down our throats, I started to choke. Now I hate that stupid bear.

If they ever make a Mickey you can dress up, I'll get him, though.

I also did not understand Disney's release of a teddy bear who had no movie ties, etc. To me it felt like a blatent money grab.:confused3
That was until my then 1.5 year old daughter saw him at Epcot & said "I love that bear". Guess who came home in the suitcase, and has been a guest at many of our tea parties. Another point for Disney, for seeing their whole market. :worship:
Agree with you Nikkibelle!;)

Ditto hear. I thought he was ridiculous ... but when we took my 5 year old son to Disney last summer, he fell in love with Duffy. He LOVES him. He got two Duffy's in Disney, and begged us to bring him home "big Duffy" when we went back on an adult's only food and wine trip. He just turned 6 yesterday and got a Birthday Duffy for a present.

I was jaded, I guess, but the kids absolutely goes nuts for Duffy. My ears are still ringing from the shriek he let out when he found Duffy in the parks on Kinect Disneyland Adventures the other month.

I'm a Teddy Bear person, always have been. I was the Christopher Robin kid with all the stuffed animals in my bedroom having adventures. I guess Duffy speaks to that time in my life-good memories. I would have loved to have had costumes!

Unlike spending a fortune on a purse with Mickey heads because of the other label on it. Don't get that at all.

However, as Nikki wisely put it- Disney has plenty for everyone to enjoy. What I find fun or cute may not work for someone else, and what they like may not work for me. It's why Disney makes money like they're printing it under the Castle.

This is kinda how I feel too. Plus knowing him being from Tokyo Disney makes him attractive to me. I thought the Jedi one is rather adorable actually and if I was able to go back to Disney I'd probably buy it, or the outfit if I already had one. The Japanese absolutely love Duffy he has his own show and character breakfast there and it's usually pretty popular from what I've heard. I watched NHK one night and they showed it when they did a show about Tokyo Disney Sea. He's really really cute!

Duffy annoys me. He's cute enough as a teddy bear I suppose but he is everywhere! I don't mind the Mouse being everywhere but the Duffy, no, it is just over kill to me. Also note, I never saw the point to Build a Bear.... On the other hand I would choose Duffy in an instant if forced between him and that plush Yoda with Mouse Ear Hat. That thing is enough to give one nightmares! And I like Yoda but that, that is Yoda gone wrong.

Anyone else notice the light sabers are crooked.....

Ahhh..."Duffy the Marketing Bear" as I call him. Got nothing against him, had our picture taken with him, but please don't expect me to give him any of my money. So far, DD agrees, and now she's almost 9, so hopefully that doesn't change.

It does make more sense to me than Vinylmation (or even pins). I've got too much crap allready, I don't need crap that's only exists to take up space. Unless its asthetically pleasing in some way, which no vinylmation on earth is. (Apologies to VM collectors who disagree, but you're wrong.)
