Those who play golf are aware that the Arnold Palmer Management Co. has been in control of the WDW courses for a little over a year now and that DVC members are getting an approximately 35% discount off the resort guest price. The one course that was up in the air was Osprey Ridge for which the original plan was for Four Seasons to take it over and run it as its own resort course with the likelihood that any DVC discount would disappear.

Be aware that the plan has changed effective this month. Four Seasons will not be taking over the course and it will remain in the control of the Arnold Palmer company and the DVC discount will continue to be available.

That's great news, I have been playing Osprey for the last 10 years and would have missed it, it's by far the most scenic of the Disney courses, and most of the other courses in the area.
I miss Eagle Pines as well.
The company that manages the Disney courses is actually Century Golf, they use Arnold Palmer's name only, he personally has nothing to do with the company.

I agree on both accounts ... that Osprey has the best views and that I miss Eagle Pines. I was concerned about Osprey leaving Disney, and hope that it stays in the mix long-term. I was watching the tournament at Palm/Magnolia a few weeks ago and kept thinking yeah, those both of those are nice, but nowhere near as nice as Osprey. I feel fortunate to have been able to have played all of what used to be Disney's 99 holes of golf, but it's unfortunate that it's now down to only 81 ... but hopefully holding at that number!

Osprey is gorgeous, and fairly green in terms of resort golf. But imo is not a resort course. Tough approaches, silly pin placements, poor restructuring with drive from 1 to 2. I played in october with Dfil and 2 other golfers. One true newbie and and a semi player. We were 3rd off in am and quickly fell behind. I told newbie that he gets 4 over n has to pick up. But the greens were insane. I 2 putted all but 4 which i had to chip close. You couldnt get close and i watched my Dfil and player 4 putt or more multiple greens. I felt bad as gir meant nothing. I watched my 3' birdie putt run off front of 16 . 15' past hole n i say i barely touched it as i "barel" touched it. But i had fun knowing that i got a discount and got lots of putting practice. P.S. the newbie was taken off course at 14. I think the course destroyed him.

Great news. DH is a big-time golfer at WDW (like, every day). Although he didn't mind having only 3 options and replaying, I know he'll be glad to know that there'll still be 4 choices.

LBV isn't going anywhere same as palm n magnolia. Osprey was prettier than eagle anyway. I play too much down there so my DW says. Lol. Once my DS of 3 n a half is old enough we will be playing a lot more. Lol.
