Was not sure exactly where to post this, so apologize if it is not the right spot. Was looking for advice from any fellow golfers. I have played the Disney courses many times (including Osprey Ridge before becoming Tranquilo); however, I was thinking about venturing outside Disney for a round on my next stay, and was wondering about courses that would exceeded the course conditions of the Disney courses. The Disney courses are usually in good shape, but I'm sure there is better around. Some that I have looked at are Championsgate, Orange County National and Shingle Creek, but not sure how they would compare to Disney.

The best course for the $$ that I have found is this one. Not far away either.

Only other one I have played is also pretty good.

That being said, we usually just play Disney's LBV as we stay at OKW and like the ability to tee off not far from our villa.

For the not too far off property golf round - Shingle Creek is usually in good shape and has pretty low play, though they do have tournaments and outings. Falcon's Fire is a pretty scorable course that can challenge the better player as well. Orange County National has 2 courses, Panther Lake is my preferred, though Crooked Cat is also a good course. Celebration is OK - has some fun holes and a few kind of meh. Champions Gate also has 2 - the International and National. They also have a decent amount of tournaments there, but both courses are typically in good shape. Grande Lakes (JW Marriott / Ritz Carlton) has a championship course (they play the father and son tourney there around Thanksgiving) though a bit pricier than the others, its a good test. Tranquilo is not quite all of what was Osprey, but most of it, and it has been tweaked to fit the LPGA tournament they have in January. DM me if you want more details.

We spent a week in Orlando this summer golfing with our boys (15/10). We played at Orange County National (Panther), Celebration, and Orange Lake (Legends is the best course, don't bother with the others). We've also played all of the Disney courses. I found that the best deals were available online about 48 hours in advance. My kids loved Celebration and said it was the closest to a Disney course. At their ages, we were about cost more than an amazing course and needed shorter distances for my younger son.

We only had time for one round and were offered a 2 for 1 deal at Disney courses, so we played LBV, but our original plan was at Falcon's Fire. We were just there earlier this month and drove by Falcon's Fire several times and it looked to be in great shape.
