I could see them doing an in the parks version as an upgrade to Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom, but I don't see them doing this as an outside the parks game.

Yes, something in the parks would be very cool. The infrastructure is already being built up - the free wifi, the charging stations and most people have a smart phone in their hand. Walk around the park trying to "catch" sets of Disney characters who are hiding in different locations...

Would be cool if they combined this concept with what the do with what they do with Agent P or the Adventureland Pirate quest wher the phone adds a virtual element but still some physical effects as well

They could do one for the parks, they already have sorcerer and agent p. My girls love this, and the new could be just an extension on that. I still remember the look on a couples face when they watched my daughter throw the phone into a mail slot and I congratulated her. They thought she was throwing away a phone, and looked in after we left. Both of us still laugh about that.

Really? My first thought was this would be a cash cow if they moved it IRL. They could take the SotMK format, have players "store" their cards with a picture with their camera phones and then sell booster packs to the public, all while releasing park exclusive cards.
