Kind of like this one I took waiting for Kali River Rapids...

This is SO TRUE!!! I've done that the last two trips!!! LL has that affect us on us all....

I know, I'm dinkin' around taking pictures of lights and my dh is wondering what on earth has come over me!

I'm really excited about POFQ. I think it's going to be so peaceful and relaxing!

We very much enjoyed our stay there. It does have a peaceful atmosphere to it. We were fortunate to have gotten a room very close to the main building, but it is so compact that any room is not going to be too far away. The jazz music plays softly in the background as you walk the pretty shaded streets. You will like it.


The only thing we didn't like about the room was that the light switch in the bathroom also turned on the fan, which was kind of loud. I prefer separate switches for those. I was always afraid I was going to wake the girls up on middle of the night potty stops.

When you go to the gift shop, look for Paul. He struck up a conversation with me about my camera as I was taking shopping pictures. I told him about the DIS, and he thought that was cool. He wanted to be in the report, so I took his picture. I told him not to be surprised if Disers didn't come by and say hi to him in the future, and he said he would love that! I'll post his picture when I get everything loaded.

Yes, I'll be looking at the light in restroom, but as I recall, they are strangely much like lights in "normal" restrooms.

Oooh, that is a beautiful one! I love it. ALMOST makes me want to ride Kali again.

Plans look great. Makes me want to jump in the car and take a short 20 hour drive to come eat with you at HBD!!

Jordan your doomed. I have light fixture pictures from my August trip I took just for LL, got to get around to posting some of them.

I am up insanely early. It's just wrong to get up before 7AM when I don't have to work or be anywhere. I blame it on the bad dream I had....I really watch too many crime dramas on TV.

So this week I've been working on itinerary cards. Inspired by eandesmom of course. Her itinerary pages are AMAZING on her PTR. So in true DISer fashion, I want some of my own.

I think I'm really liking them. I only have the first two days done but I think it's a good start.

You may notice some changes to the plans....therefore we are onto Itinerary 6.0!

The big problem is that I don't have a printer. My computer no longer has a CD drive that works so one time (of the many) that Marc broke our computer and I had to restore to factory settings, I lost that my printer was installed. I've tried everything to get it back but I can't find software online and I've just given up at this point.

So I've been wondering how I am going to get them printed and I think I have found a solution.

A Flip Book from Snapfish.

How do you think the pages look in the flip book?

I'm sure the print quality won't be 100% but as long as I can read the plans then it will be A-OK.

Where Am I? Have I posted this one before?

Yes you can have itinerary cards too! It's part of the planning service.

I think the flip book will be good. I just have to finish up the other days and then not make any changes before I order it.

Sometimes you not only find yourself looking at them, you find yourself photographing them and then posting then for LL on your trip report.....

OMG - I do this all the time now. I think of LL EVERYTIME I take a picture of a light fixture. And the best part is - sometimes I get a really good picture just because I focused on the light fixture.

We should all start a thread....Light Fixtures for LL to pay her tribute for her wonderful inspiration!

I love, love your planning pages. I think that's a great idea to turn them into a book on snap fish. I wonder if that would also work for one of the smaller shutterfly books. I have a DISer friend at work who gives shutterfly new ideas and is hosting a digital scrapbooking party for them. I am going to talk to her about that, because that could be a whole new line for them. It really is a great idea and such a nice souvenier,

As for the picture...I am going to guess somewhere in Dinoland too. It looks like something you'd find in some of the games in Dinorama. I could be completely wrong though!

I love the idea of a flip book, or shutterfly does a 5x7 soft cover book that is neat too. I like the fact that then if you needed to hand write something in (note pages at the back?) you could.

Of course then I found my pretty little binder and well... so much for that idea!

My issue with both of them (snap and shutter) was the orientation, I wanted portrait not landscape but you've solved for that (and are being much more concise, mine are a bit, uh, busy! as you know!). I like the fact that snapfish has a 4x6 size. Once you add the cover I think that will be nicer to cart around than the 5x7.

I did order one of those flip books from snapfish many moons ago and it wasn't bad quality wise but the colors were a little off. I did think the shutterfly pages were a bit better quality wise when I did my recent book from them. Not sure about backgrounds and such but the shutterfly pages do allow for the pretty paper backgrounds at the 5x7 size.

Look for coupon codes for either though as they are always out there!

But yeah, Mary Ellen tell shutterfly to do the soft cover so it opens like a book, not a photobook! LOL!.

I love our intinerary cards...especially with The Little Mermaid for you first day and Sleeping Beauty for my first day...if I didn't know better I would say those were our two favorite movies!!

Okay well you have fun on Kali River Rapids it falls into the NO THANK YOU not getting WET in January section of my intinerary. ALthough I am a bit bummed Splash will be down for refurb during our stay....but just a bit LOL I would have never ridden it last year with the temperatures we had LOL!! ALthough you are right that light fixture is gorgeous there!!!!

Last trip I just had our itinerary printed out on one page and it was easy to carry but it got so wrinkled and it was hard to find in my bag. I think the flip book would be easier to find in my park bag.

I said ALMOST wanted to make me ride Kali. I am not a huge fan of rides where you get wet but I wanted to ride Splash too in January. Stupid refurb!

Well you are both right. It's near the train station in Toon Town and it was like a play area and those were the lights. Does that make sense? I tried looking on the Magic Kingdom map but it's not marked on there.
