Disney giftcard question

Is there an expiration date on disney gift cards? I know that the disney visa rewards have an expiration date (I think a year) and was wondering about the giftcards you purchase at the disney store.

I am planning on going to disney for christmas next year, and was thinking of asking for disney gift cards for christmas and birthday but wanted to make sure they don't have an expiration!

as far as i know there is no expiration date on the gift cards. We start to fill up a card at least a year before we go and I have never had a problem
