Disney Gift Cards

Hello! Typically the year before a Disney World trip I stock up on Disney giftcards so there is not a huge hit to our banking account while we are there to pay for food, drinks, souveneirs, etc.... Next year we are planning our first Aulani trip and was wondering if that strategy would work there too? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Somewhat, the resort certainly accepts Disney gift cards. Just remember that in Hawaii you will leave "the bubble" much more than a WDW trip. There are tons of non-Disney activities and restaurants around the island that you will need to budget for also.

Another note, the Luau is booked on a 3rd party site and did not accept Gift Cards.

If you're looking to save money by doing discounted gift cards at Costco or something like that, you're going to get the most value when paying for the room itself. As @Willow1213 said, you're going to be buying food and merch other places besides just Aulani.
