Can you load Disney gift cards into the Disneyland app in advance so that there are funds to pay for mobile food orders and other things you would like to purchase at the parks and DTD?
I've been trying to do this and don't see a way to save gift cards as a payment method. What I ended up doing was saving the number in a separate notes app. That way, it's easy to copy and paste the gift card number for mobile orders.
I believe for other purchases, you'd have to swipe the card at the register.

That's a good idea..the copy and paste method. Maybe someday Disney will include that functionality. It would make things easier if they are trying to encourage cashless payments.

This is a great tip, since I'm expecting a rather large e-gift card for the refund of our Maxpass (x6).
Does anybody know if this applies to Disney Visa Rewards dollars? If not, I'll just use them at our sit down meals, but it would be nice to just have it loaded (or copy & paste in)

That's interesting about the Disney Rewards Redemption Card. We tried to use one when we were there and couldn't figure out how to input it into the app because there is no expiration date.
One can't charge to their hotel if staying on-site on the mobile app can you? Man it'd be great to charge to the room, then pay off the bill at Guest Services with whatever you want. I miss having my room key + AP with picture do everything and not needing anything else to go into the park.
