Disney Gift Cards

I have been slowly accumulating Disney Gift Cards for my upcoming trip.... Quick question... Do i need to do anything before using them? Like register them or anything? Or is it just take them to the parks and use them....Im wondering about the scratch off portion on the back...

Nope just take them with you. You only need to rub off the back if you are using them online or on the phone.

Another tip is to bring a sharpie or some sticky notes to keep track of the balance on each one as you use them.

There is a Disney Gift Card app that you can put in your gift cards and track purchases and the balance. We did this on our last trip when we had 8 gift cards.

There is a Disney Gift Card app that you can put in your gift cards and track purchases and the balance. We did this on our last trip when we had 8 gift cards.

If you use the gift card app, you will need to remove the scratch-off part to reveal the last couple of digits of the GC and its PIN code.

You might also want to record that number somewhere in case you lose the GC. They can cancel a GC and re-issue a card if you provide them with the numbers and can produce a receipt for their purchase. Someone mentioned using the last digits and PIN number as the GC's "name" in the app. That way, you have GC # and its balance all in one place.

Thanks for all the info! I downloaded the ap... Im going to give it a try..... I have also saved all of my Target receipts in case a card is lost.

Don't get rid of them either. Save them until the end of your trip when you're sure you're not going to return anything or get money back or anything.

(If you're staying onsite I would suggest adding them onto your room key card so you only have to keep track of one card).
