Can you use Disney Gift cards that you get in The Disney stores in other states, for Dinners and tickets at WDW??
We are going in may, and I'm terrible at saving money so I was thinking this would be a good way for me to save for the trip if I get a Disney gift card I will not spend it here!!

What an excellent idea! I was going to give my kids cash to spend, but a gift card would be easier!

Don't forget another option is disney money from the disney store. This would work well if you want to hand it out to the kids a little bit at a time instead of all at once.

Are the Gift Cards and Disney Dollars accpted every where on Disney Property? I was thinking of getting cards for myself and DH & dollars for DD & DS.

Yes, they are accepted everywhere, including most snack carts. They are a really good idea for kids, you can also reload them at any store in WDW. They are much better than giving your child charging privileges.

I've told my friends just to invest in these for my Christmas gifts. We spend a lot on each other and I'd love to just have Disney money. I'm such an addict.

No, the Disney Gift Card is like a regular gift card you would buy for anywhere, you pay dollar for dollar.

No they don't take the place of Disney Dollars - they still have them but just added a gift card too.

The gift cards are really cute it's the size of a credit card with a huge picture of Mickey Mouse.

One warning. I've heard that if you have more then one don't store them together as they will void them out.
