Disney gift cards on sale at Target

On the bargain thread I found out that in some states the $50 Disney gift card is on sale for $46 or $42. Here in WA it was $46 but I signed up for the red card debit card and got 5% off of the 6 I purchased to use for our character meals, BBB, souvenirs and snacks. It's a small savings but something. My Target had plenty and the people working didn't even know about the sale (pg 17 in the flyer at the VERY bottom). BTW, we found the cards in the electronics section. Promotion ends Sat.

do you know where they were offered for $42? our local ad says $50 but if i print up the $42 they will price match.

No luck in central Cali, the ad here states $50 gift card "on sale" for $50. What a deal, lol.

My Target only accepts local competitors ads for a price match.

Well, if you miss the sale, you can always buy them at Safeway, where they are currently running a 4x gas rewards when you are buying giftcards in here Washington. I saved 30 cents off filling up my car today. Felt lucky to only pay $4.00 at gallon today

Same with Kroger! I'm going to pick up a few, but I hate how they don't sell $100 cards, just $50. That means carrying double the plastic. LOL

Incoming dumb question: Can you use the gift cards towards your hotel bill if you stay at a DLR hotel?

Ours here in Iowa was also "as advertised" $50.
We do have a Target Debit card so we can save the 5% but I was hoping for a bigger discount.

I am in Everett. But I saw on the bargain board someone from Eastern WA had the same deal. You can check by going to the target website and putting in the city for your local ad. Remember it's small at the bottom of pg 17.
The only place I have heard that has $44 (sorry not $42) is Houston area.
Also saw that if they are out you can get a raincheck. My target had plenty.
Someone on the bargain board bought $2000 worth of GCs to pay their bill.

I do believe they are good at anything owned by disney including the hotels. I was told there are just a few vendors in the park where you can't use them.

Yes, you can! And you can stack the pharmacy reward with the regular 5% red card discount.

And to the PP, you can use Disney gift cards to pay for your hotel as well.

ETA: I should clarify that this only works on "entertainment" cards sold by Target. The 5% discount does NOT work on Target gift cards. Weird!

I was just going to post to say I took a look at my ad and sure enough on page $17 it lists them for $46. My dd went tonight to our local target and apparently there were tons. Tomorrow is the last day, right? Good thing I have to work near a target tomorrow so I will be stopping by!. Now... just how much do I buy...

My Target was out of $50 cards but they wools me $25 cards at 8% off which is the same thing. I did have to talk to the manager to make that work.

Actually I was at Kroger again today and found a Mickey card they didn't have last time! It was one where you could put any value from $15 to $500, so I was really happy. But thanks for letting me know about Safeway.

Oh and with my purchase I received a Catalina coupon for 10% off of $50 at DisneyStore.com. There's a whole list of exclusions, but maybe someone can save a few bucks with it. First person to PM me can have it.
