Disney Gift Card???

Has anyone ever had problems with using Disney Gift Card anywhere on Disney property, especially the gift shops? When we went in June, my DD had Disney money and it was hard to keep track of so we were thinking about doing the Disney Gift Card this time, but the card says at select participating locations???
