Disney Gift Card question

Does anyone happen to know how long it takes to get a refund to your Disney Gift card? We want to add the dining plan to our room only reservation, BUT part of the payment was made with a gift card. We would need to pay in full after when we rebook with the package. The agent i spoke to said she had NO idea how long it takes to get a credit to a gift card. Anyone have any experience with this? I appreciate your help

I've been told up to a week, but it ended up taking 2-3 days. YMMV.
