Disney Gift Card question

Hello!

We purchased some Disney Gift Cards at Target - when we get to Disneyworld will we be able to consolidate them by buying another Disney Gift Card?

I don't think so, I've heard conflicting reports on being able to combine / use a gc to purchase a gc.

However, if you are staying at a disney resort, you can put all of the gift cards on your room card/kttwc so you only have to carry around one thing.

Or put a cc on the room, but pay off the balance every so often with your gift cards so nothing goes on you cc at checkout.

If you put the gift cards on the room, be sure to save them. When you check out, any unused balance will be refunded to the gift card.

Free money for all the food booths at the festival!

I have tried this at my window and the system will not allow use of a Disney Gift Card as payment on another Disney Gift Card. This applies both to new cards or increases to existing cards.

Thank you.. that is what we were afraid of.. but the room key idea may work! Just want to keep all our food and drink money in one spot!

That is awesome! Thanks so much. We used to get them at Giant grocery store but they no longer give us points towards gas discount pts. for some reason.

How does that work with KTTW cards? If I wanted to give each kids $100 can I put $100 on each card and once they spend it it's done or are all the accounts linked? If it was all one account I'd worry one of the kids might overspend their alloted amount. What about the DDP plan too? Can the credits be card specific or are they all pooled together? My kids can be pretty responsible but they are teenagers too and could potentially screw up.

From my understanding you can call the number on the back of you GC and consolidate them into one card over the phone. (I have not done this myself, I have only heard of other Dis'ers doing so)
