Disney gift card for dining?

I'm trying to make my next trip to Disney a credit card free trip. But I am a little nervous about carrying enough cash around to pay for my meals. Do all of the disney restaurants accept the Disney Gift Card as payment? I was thinking of loading some money onto one of those and using it strictly for my meals. Would that work?

How did you handle tips with this method? We are doing the same in June, and I was not sure how I was going to handle the tip portion.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall. DH usually took care of paying. I think we just did it like when you pay with a CC, and charged it right to the card. I honestly don't remember, but that must have been the way we did it, because I remember we didn't carry much cash with us.
