I just bought a Starbucks eGC a few weeks ago using Target gift cards. When did this no eGCs with GCs on Target start?

End of May/beginning of june
I haven't personally ordered any but other have reported immediate order cancellations

I really don't see why you are confused?? You post came off with an attitude like you did not care if you killed the deal for everyone in the future, because you got what you wanted, plus extra. ((shrugs))

Ya know? I am new to this thread too, but I have read a TON and watch and learn. It seems newbies come in and see something that someone got to work, and then go into the store and raise all sorts of flags by trying to get it to work for them (asking employees about it) Maybe it was only good online, maybe it is was only good with a certain credit card, maybe it was only good for one day.

Actually, it is completely necessary. The deal only lasts for a short time and it is important to know how NOT to raise flags. It's not drama; it's helping educate each other.

If you are worried about the "deal" being jeopardized, that means you are actually doing something wrong and worried that it will be caught. If what you are doing is all on the up and up you wouldn't be worried about someone going in raising a stink because that wouldn't matter, if its a legitimate company policy.
I'm sorry but I just had to say something, you guys are working loopholes and all that is great, I've done it myself but you aren't on any higher moral ground than someone who selfishly only cares if they get a deal.

It's attitudes like that which make me (and probably others) reluctant to post any new strategies. How sad is it that in order to curb what I see as abuse of the system, I cautiously refrain from sharing.

You joined yesterday. Welcome to the disboards. It's probably not a good idea to be the new kid on the playground and then insist that everyone play the way you want them to. There's an ignore function if you feel that some posters are having a negative impact on your experience here. You might want to use it. I've found that it makes it much more enjoyable to read these forums when I don't see some people's posts.

Tip-toeing into the quagmire ...

I didn't think that @DisneyArie was saying "I got mine so screw the rest of you!". She made an honest mistake thinking that she could get 5% using gift cards at the brick and mortar check out and she was confused why it didn't work. I think she was just trying to get help at the store. When someone made the comment that the radar would be focused on someone I think she meant that it didn't matter if it was her (like they made a comment in her Target "permanent record") because she was already done buying. I don't think she meant that she didn't care if she accidentally ruined it for others.

That's my take on it, anyway.

I've used this myself a few times. Once in a while it can make it hard to follow a thread when posters you don't ignore are responding to those you do-but you can always click "show ignored content" at the bottom of the thread page and see all posts.

I got the last 6 hour one, but neglected to check back here obsessively and missed it! (6 hours? what is that all about?) I actually want some merch. but keep putting it off b/c I want ebucks!!!
