For anyone that purchased from eBay yesterday using the eBates 5% cash back offer that was initially available for a limited window in the morning, I was credited today at the 5% rate for my $500 GC purchase made with an eBay GC via PayPal. You should look for yours as well.

Thanks for posting. I had just checked like 10 mins ago and didn't have my credit yet. I'm just curious if it will be at the 5% or 3% since when I clicked it was 5% but maybe it changed while I was doing my transaction. Not gonna sweat it either way

Something to note on my cancelled Best Buy order from last night when I attempted to purchase an eBay card with a BB card online . . . I went through ebates and received a 1% credit even though my order was cancelled.

I decided to take inventory of my Target and eBay GCs and did a little risk assesment based on what I've been reading. As a result, I took 1/3 of my Target GCs and headed to my local Target to buy some Disney GCs.

They didn't have a single $100 GC in the entire store (and I checked every GC rack that I know to exist in that store!) One rack had a single $50 GC and the one in electronics had another 5 $50 GCs. Fortunately, there were more in the checkout aisles but not a lot considering that they tend to have a lot for summer vacationers. I don't want to start a panic, but I believe that @JKalai may be on to something. I think that there's going to be a rush on stores to cash out to Disney GCs because they aren't available online anymore.

I was able to get the amount that I came for and checked out at the self check out. Paying the entire amount with Target GCs was not a problem.

I think I'm going to wait till the next ebucks promo, cash out all my eBay to Target, and do Target to Disney with calling it quits with the big amounts held in GC.

I'm planning on buying GC in small amounts for Target/gas cards/restaurants with ebucks promos for things I'm going to be consuming anyway. Then stashing away the ebucks into an account for which I can buy other things I'm going to be consuming and then throwing that money I would have used into an account for Disney.

Even though the profit is going to be minimal, it's the safest way for me.

I just bought an eBay card with a BB gift card a couple hours ago. No problem at all. I will note that they were very low on eBay cards. The employee I was chatting with didn't even know they carried them. Going forward, this is the issue I see trying to churn eBay to BB . . . low or no eBay card inventory.

This has been my experience in store too (low or no inventory), which is why I try to order online for store pickup. I know there's the risk of cancelation, like what happened to you, so it's not a perfect system. Alternatively, I always use the BB website to check availability just before I head to the store. Again, not perfect because it doesn't really tell you how much there are and they could sell out before I get there, but at least there's a chance I won't waste a trip.

I could always use my RedCard to just buy Disney gift cards and save 5% off my trip. Its not the 30% some of you have saved but it would be better than nothing, I guess. Its a lot of gift cards though... is anyone else using that as a worst-case scenario plan?

Don't feel bad, I haven't received a single eBucks offer this year! My 30%+ discount is obtained mostly from using my local grocery store fuel perks program and I just try to supplement on eBay when I can manufacture a decent deal. I will also miss the Target 5% glitch.

It's not a set limit as it's different for each account. It's somewhere under $1,000 per rolling calendar month, though. Once you go over that amount, errors will start to happen when paying on ebay. Customer service is horrible for Paypal. It's normal if that happens to you, even if it's way under the 1K per month.

I sees I activated the 4x promo but when I add two $150 target cards it shows that I'll earn $6 in eBay bucks. And I can't figure out how to confirm that I activated the offer????

I have never seen any eBay cards at our BB's in stock. Until someone mentioned yesterday that they have free shipping online, I checked it out and they had some for in-store pick-up at many of my stores. I placed an order this morning to pick-up only to have it cancelled. Since I was in the area of my pick-up store, I stopped in and checked around for eBay cards and none were to be found. I tried to have one shipped and that was cancelled too. Both cancellations were paid with a BB GC that I already had, and the reasoning on the email was that my identity couldn't be verified and I should try another form of payment.

I don't think this will work for me.

ETA: Back up, converted, though had to settle for $100s. The extra couple bucks for shipping bites, but at least I don't have to worry about the 4-GC limit online anymore.

Did this Sunday morning in anticipation of exactly this. Luckily, I was able to complete my transaction before being told by the manager that the cashier should not have allowed my transaction and that my location would no longer accept GC for purchase of other GC.

Ugh-which target told you that (I know you are in the Pittsburgh area)? We have a lot of target stores here but that doesn't sound good-especially since none of the locations I usually go to have self checkout lanes (not sure if there are any Pittsburgh locations with them).
I have some target Gc coming UPS tomorrow maybe I should try to use them

Thank you!!! I never would have expected an offer in the middle of the day. I placed two orders for a total of $1,100. I have another $900 waiting for me to pick up at the UPS Store. I think I'm going to cash those out at Target for Disney GC in the next day or two.

This is what I get... I waited until TODAY and with no Ebucks offer this morning I ordered all $500 of my EBay Bucks in Target cards because I got ridiculous errors trying to order from PPDG yesterday and decided the frustration wasn't worth it.... NOW an eBay promo comes through.... Guess I will use my $1100 in Target that I have on hand to buy eBay gift cards... Really sucks about the Redcard discount online....
