You cannot use gift cards to buy gift cards on Amazon.

I thought this was true, but just last week I bought SW gift cards w/ an Amazon GC! I couldn't believe it worked! So, I would say give it a try and see what happens. It may just depend on the GC.

Thanks. I grabbed a $100 Target GC. I considered the Staples $100 GC for $85 - $15 coupon for a total OOP of $70 but decided that this is my Disney "play" money and bit for the Target GC instead.

Thanks for the excellent idea of using this for the Staples card. I was so focused on Target gift cards that I wasn't even considering other options. I didn't want to use an eBay gift card in case a bonus offer came through this week so I just used some non-Disney money in my PayPal account. There's always something I can use at Staples.

Hi everyone! I am going to try my hand at churning thanks to all your wonderful tips and advice on here. I'm trying to use my PayPal account on eBay to purchase the Target card using the $15 off $75 deal. I have been adding money to my PayPal account from doing surveys, but when I just tried to add more money from my bank account, it says I need to be verified. I sent them a scan of my driver's license. Does anyone have any idea how long this process takes? I'm worried I'll miss the deal. Thanks in advance! Or should I start with Target for this deal? I wouldn't even need PayPal then, right?

Ok, so the message "We can't apply this code to your order" keeps coming up for me on eBay. I called Paypal and they transferred me to eBay only to tell me that they'll call/email me back and to try again later. I know this has happened to others. What ultimately came about for those with this message? I tried a different browser and that didn't work either. Funny thing is, if I DON'T log in to Paypal while on eBay, the gift card goes through, but the second I log in to Paypal the error message appears. Frustrating.

Did you use part of the balance before on another account or did you just buy it? Otherwise, I am not sure....and I have learned that PP and ebay are completely useless in terms of getting help from...

I've used it previously (about a month ago) and I only have one Paypal account which is the account I'm trying to make the purchase with. It has $151.05 on it that I can see both in my Paypal account and checking the balance on eBay.

And thanks to PP on the slickdeals offer. I went into my ebates & found it & bought 2- $50 Target gcs (the $100 gc were out of stock!). I have 2 other $50 Target gcs coming this week from ebay & just need another $50 one to get my ebucks for the quarter. Just starting churning & am very thankful to all the helpful posters for taking time to share this with us newbies! I'm still reading through this thread & having fun trying to learn all about this!

My eBay account got screwed up on my last order during the 5x promo where I couldn't enter in more than 1 gift card on an order and sometimes couldn't even do 1 when I would try again. I called eBay 3-4 times since then with them saying they were working on it, although they tried plenty of excuses from blaming paypal twice to my gift cards being unactivated, too new, too old, and there being a policy that gift cards couldn't buy other gift cards. From the first call they've said they would credit my the 5x promo on the order I was going to place. So with nothing getting fixed until yesterday where I had to test it myself(no one contacted me like the reps told me they would) I loaded up the order, put in my gift cards and called them to verify I would get the 5x credit. The last lady was a supervisor and told me that she couldn't do anything because I didn't place an order. How do you place an order that gets paid with gift cards when their site wouldn't let me enter the gift cards? She just argued with me that an order had to be placed which no one ever told me to begin with.

So it ended with her telling me that she would do this as a one time courtesy and was pretty snotty about it but would need me to place the order and then she would review it in 24-48hrs and send me an email. I placed it while on the phone but apparently she felt she needed to wait. I'm not optimistic I'm going to get it and because of this mess I couldn't take advantage of the 4x promo either. Matter of fact she wouldn't even believe me that it was during the 5x promo and kept talking about 4x because that was all she saw inside my eBay inbox. I told her to look at my order history and she'll see I was ordering during the 5x promo. I got the "whatever" comment from her.

Pretty bad customer service. If it wasn't for being able to get the deals I can on the GC's, eBay would be a thing of the past for me. With all of this that went on over the last few weeks to the phone call to them last night it would be just my luck to not have any promos this month and possibly next month. I'm trying to work up enough GC's to take my kids to disney in late May/early June so time is running out.

I just went through a mess with my eBay account for a few weeks that I mentioned in a previous message. In my multiple conversations there was once they tried to blame paypal and forwarded me to them and was told by paypal that eBay is in the process of taking over the gift card processing. There might be a chance that your account is somehow affected by this. They've had a mess. The problem I had with not being able to enter a gift card reliably and it giving me an "Ooops, try again." type of message was experienced by numerous people according to posts online and then one of the reps admitted to me. It took weeks for them to fix it. Hopefully yours will go quicker.

And these are the struggles most people won't endure with this process. I think it takes a lot of organization, time and willingness to read and learn to get started, then there are issues like this that arise. I truly can't imagine any family member or friend of mine that would commit to it. They would either pay full price or eliminate some components of the trip.

I have spent over 4 hours on the phone over various days over the last 6 weeks trying to get my eBay or PP account sorted out. They just point fingers at the other and pass you back and forth. I have been escalated over and over with each and told my 'story' so many times I am sick to death of it. Ebay actually keeps records so the rep can go back and read about why you are calling. Each PP rep requires starting over from scratch. I have been given so many different excuses as to why I am getting an error upon checkout, and not a single excuse is right. They tell you that it is b/c of 'xyz' and just to 'give it 24 hours'. That is just to get you off the phone b/c nothing is ever different in 24 hours. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced from such a large company.

Like you, if it weren't for the deal I am getting on gift cards, I'd be done with them and never look back.

Yes it appears to be true. I just tried to apply a GC amount to a GC order and it let me. A few weeks ago, it would not do that.

I applied for my debit RedCard a few days ago and received my approval confirmation and temporary # today in two separate emails. However, I wonder if I just printed out my confirmation email and said I hadn't received my card yet if they will let me get the discount and pay with CC?

you could try but they could probably see an email was sent to you. They didn't send me anything so thats how I was able to do it. you never know you could try and then if it doesn't work go to a different check out lane and use your temporary number.

Well... I opted against the 2x $50 Target Cards and picked up a Landry's Card for $75. The girls love the Downtown Aquarium, so it will definitely get used.

By chance were you at the 5k limit before it was lifted? I remember reading somewhere that previously used gc's are still tied to the 5k per 180 day limit.
