If they don't even attempt to deliver, I put a call in to my post office or UPS office to complain. Our regular postman is awesome, but one of his subs likes to leave the pinkslip. They have made him turn around and redeliver a time or two.

Hi All, After reading through this thread and all your wonderful information, I decided that gift card churning through ebay/target sounded like a great way to earn a little extra for our June trip. I have churned Target to Disney in the past, but this is my first target/ebay/target. I was able to get in on a few discounted target cards from GCM such as the $15 off $100 and $100 for $95 etc... And after waiting nearly a month for an ebay bucks promo, I finally got the offer on this last 5x before the end of the quarter. Yay! I churned 2 amounts, 1 for $750 and 1 for $600.

Soooo, long story short... I've been watching the tracking and the $600 was to be delivered today via USPS. I just logged into ebay and saw tracking said it was delivered in my mailbox. So very excited, I ran out expecting an envelope from GCM to be in my mailbox, and nope, not there. Just a couple pieces of junk mail. I think I recall reading that this happened to someone on this thread? Is that correct? Tracking says delivered, but it was not in my mailbox. So now I'm a little freaked and on hold with USPS. I paid using ebay gift cards, so I can't dispute through my credit card. Can I dispute through PayPal as an item not received? I would love some advice on how to handle this! Thank you!

It happened to me in March. eBay said it was delivered on Saturday. It wasn't delivered until Monday.

Since there's no designated DVA thread I'd thought I'd mention it here. I can't remember what day I requested my bonus card but I put that my Alaskan Cruise is in June and payment was due by April. I either requested it on Thursday or Friday and would you believe it already came? It could be coincidence as I've heard that some people reported it being automatically sent with their trip nearing. It is postmarked being sent on April 2nd. Super fast turnaround!

FWIW, my trip isn't actually until August but I wanted the $100 bonus to go towards some Disneyland AP's.

Excellent suggestion, however, I only had enough ebay gift cards for the second purchase of $600. In retrospect, I should have just paid OOP through ebay and purchased more Target cards seeing how I finally got an ebay bucks promo and it was 5x! But this was my first churn and I'm still learning.

Why do you start at Gamestop first? And, do you get the GS on Ebay, then go to your GS? And, how much do you do there to start? Just did first time at GS this last promo, they only allow up to $1000 purchase in a day. I did $300, 3 times, then last round at Target. Worked great, since my last target cards hadn't arrived yet, but was a bit of a pain to go to the store 3 time, with work and all, and they closed at 9.

If you have a few thousand in Ebay, then I guess it wouldn't matter if you did GS first or not. When we did it for the last promo, we were working with the $1650 in Target GCs I had on hand and we didn't want to convert all of that in two days, so we converted $1k ($500 per day over 2 days) and then spent that $1k first on GS for the $100 in ebucks and then on Target, once we had it converted into Ebay again, for another $100 ebucks. I then ended up buying more GS at Raise to get her some more ebucks before the quarter ended, but at the time we thought we had limited funds, so we did GS first. I'm going to do it first next time just to see how much I can get before I start converting too much into Target. I'm working with a short amount of time and still don't know if I'm going to be using some of my eBay on gas cards, hotel cards or restaurant cards for the road trip to/from WDW, so I want to keep as much in Ebay as possible until I'm sure. We are lucky in that we have several GSs within 15 minutes of us that have loadable cards and the employees don't seem to care how much we do. I might forgo the rewards so that they can't track how much I'm buying since idk if there might be any unintended consequences for buying so much.

So are you doing more than one order for Target cards in a day when there's an extra bucks promo? I did do two $450 orders on day one last time then two $300 orders on day two. I know no one knows for sure but I'm just debating with myself if it's riskier to do fewer large orders or more smaller ones.....

I don't think anyone has had any trouble with large orders from GCM. I posted that my mom had an issue, but there are two important things that could have added to that: 1) she also did large PPDG orders the same day and then had the issue when she tried the next large GCM order. Not sure if the PPDG order had something to do with it. 2) this was her first purchase(s) on her eBay/PP accounts. That could have had something to do with the flags.

The fact that you'd even think about the possibility of doing this while ~on~ vacation shows that someone is just a little bit addicted... ;-)

We have another trip coming at the end of October that I need to rack up some ebucks for and I don't intended to let either of the next two quarters go by without maxing those out. My mom would be here doing the "grunt work" (i.e. going to GS to exchange for eBay and picking up my Target cards from the mailbox), so it really wouldn't be that hard to pull off since i'd mostly be on the computer. However, it would be preferable to just get all my ebucks for the quarter before I leave and be done with it.

Something similar happened to me back in December, too. I track all my packages in transit with an app that pulls tracking info from the various carriers, and USPS's tracking number stated that an envelope (from GCM) had been delivered (time stamped after 6 p.m.) but it wasn't in my mailbox. I recall putting in a lost mail claim on the USPS website that night and called the customer service number first thing the next day. The general customer service line told me it occasionally happens that an item is scanned as delivered but could still be sitting at the local post office or in a mail truck, and she gave me a case number and the phone number to my local post office to inquire further. I called my local post office and before they could get back to me, the envelope was delivered that afternoon.

It's funny someone else mentioned the postal service's laziness just a few posts up. I don't have a lot of confidence in my local post office or their carriers, and I figured our postman probably looked at the time and decided to scan a bunch of mail as delivered and called it a day.

Here's an issue about claims. When I was on the phone with USPS customer service, she told me that my missing envelope was sent via Critical Mail and insured for something like $200, which would've covered the value of the gift cards. GCM used to send any order under $250 via USPS Critical Mail, and anything $250 or more via UPS with signature confirmation. USPS eliminated their Critical Mail service recently, and GCM now sends orders under $750 via USPS First Class Parcel and $750+ via UPS. I haven't had any new issues with GCM orders shipped via USPS, but I do not know what if any insurance GCM puts on their First Class Parcels.

Give USPS a day to see if your envelope shows up. If it doesn't, file a claim with USPS and hopefully the package is insured for its value.

One of my packages was delivered and one wasn't. They were separate orders from 2 separate days but it shows they were shipped at the same time. It's showing both were scanned at the exact same time at my house. Ugh. I'm really hoping it shows up tomorrow.

If it helps any who have missing packages I had the issue last week. Said it was delivered but in fact was not until the next day. I know for a fact my mailman is super lazy so nothing much surprises me. Half the time he can't be bothered to close the door on my box . I do have a locking box so its not like someone can reach in and grab my stuff but its still annoying because when it rains it can blow inside the open door. I've been tempted to leave a note before but I don't want to further ruin my chances at getting timely packages.

So weird . . . I ordered 3 x $200 + 1 x $25 today with filler paper and it went through fine. However, no ebates. I'm not getting ebates on high dollar orders anymore. Think I'll try keeping each order below $400ish going forward.
