Yes it did. It's pretty standard to have to verify your identity. There's a lot of fraud in gift card reselling.
Are any of the sites like topcashback/ebates/MyPoints/etc paying for purchasing the WDW gift cards at target.com?
Awesome! Thanks!!Ebates will rebate 2% if you add something else to your cart in addition to the gift cards.
Mypoints does and you don't have to buy anything extra. Are any of the sites like topcashback/ebates/MyPoints/etc paying for purchasing the WDW gift cards at target.com?
With swagbucks, I cash out my discounted card for Target, and then do all my full price cashouts through paypal. I then use the money from paypal to buy Target cards at Kroger (or to pay my Amex card that gives me 6% rebate at grocery stores which I used at Kroger to get Target cards lol). I have been getting about $100 a month in paypal just from running apps on my ipad and ncraves while I surf the net.Had to read your post 3x - lol . . .
Can you explain your statement above? I buy Target cards @ Kroger too during the 4x fuel promo and then do the Target/ebay/Target/Disney thing. But can you explain the swagbucks/paypal part? Many thanks!
And . . . where are you getting the kmart gc's? Discount ebay?

I have been getting my kmart gift cards on ebay during their ebay bucks promos (3x-5x); I have had great luck with SVMgifts (yay free shipping!) although I also did some with paypal digital when they had $50 cards for $42.50 each. I was sad when I went to my kmart today and they were out of $200 visa debit cards, but I got some $200 Mastercard debit cards at Staples (with a $20 rebate) and had great luck loading those to redbird, so I will go tomorrow and see if I can find those at Kmart. I am holding onto my ebay gc until they have more ebay bucks promos. We decided to add 2 days onto the beginning of our November WDW trip, thanks to my great savings from churning gc this last monthNow we get the last 3 days of food and wine and not just the last day!
When I started getting Kmart cards, there weren't any target cards available (except a few by auction for craziness like $170 for a $150 card) and I still wanted ebay bucks. And, with the target cards you currently have to pay shipping where the Kmart cards I've been getting are free shipping. I also got a couple of best buy cards when they had the free $10 ebay gift card with a $100 best buy card. Basically, I get whatever card on ebay offers me the best payout that I can still roll into something I can useWow - thanks for that! Although I think I might need a PhD to understand it all. One question if you don't mind me picking your brain . . . why cash out via Kmart instead of buying Target cards on ebay (during ebay bucks promo) and cycling through ebay again? Once you cash out, do you then turn around and buy Target cards on Raise/Cardpool? Thanks for the MS101 lesson!!

And when I cash out, I get whatever will give me the best return on investment at the time. If there's 4x fuel points available, I will get Target cards with that because it is a 15% savings (would be 20%, but I just capped my 6% cash back at grocery stores so I am only getting 1%). I do get visa (and now mastercard) gift cards to roll over into redbird more often than I otherwise might because I am doing the discover/apple pay promotion right now and that takes a fair amount of available cashflow. But, the potential for 22% back is nice is worth paying 3.5% for me. I just started MS in May and of course 3 days after I got a redbird is when they stopped credit card loads. I've learned a lot from this thread too![]()
Thanks for the info. I'm attempting the Discover Apply Pay promo too, but I don't want to buy a ton of gift cards before the data comes in on whether or not they will work for cash back. I suspect they will, but I'm giving it a few more weeks till my statement closes to know for sure. Great deal! Hope it works. Would you mind reporting back after your statement closes to confirm the 10% is working on gift card purchases??? Thanks!

I also got the Discover It promo (2x reward for the first year) for the Apple Pay promo hoping it would work. But there's been a change in the exclusion for Apple Pay to exclude Gift Card purchases. So I am not sure if it will work because I made my first purchase at Target for misc. things and it came out a Grocery Store category on my statement.
Plus I learned from SD that the first month of transaction is not eligible for the Apple Pay/Double Points. You would need to wait for after the first month statement? Not sure. Would love to hear what you guys find out.
Supposedly the double points rewards for new Discover It users are rewarded after your 13 month cycle, which is fine with me because our planned Disney Trip is January 2017. But I am interested to find out if Apple Pay cash back is monthly? I need to make time to call Discover customer service.
I haven't heard anything about the first month of transactions not being eligible for the bonus. You would get the bonus, but it wouldn't post until after the first or even second statement. So there may be a lag. The apply pay 10% bonus should be paid out monthly - similar to their current 5% rotating categories. Just waiting until the end of Oct when my statement closes . . .

I know on FrequentMiler there was a post today that we don't really know anything yet, since it hasn't shown up on the first statement after it started (Discover says 1-2 statements and apparently they are doing 2 for apple pay bonuses). One person reported that an apple pay transaction posted for their Sept 18th statement, so they should know after their Oct 18th statement comes. I have been concentrating on the quarterly 5% while waiting on word on gift cards with apple pay![]()
This is actually my first Non-Visa CC. So I'm not really familiar with Discover online banking. I know all online banking are very similiar, but the information and platform is a little different than my Freedom or Southwest card. It looks like the CB is calculated in a separate window. It doesn't really show how much point per transaction does it? Or if a transaction is eligible?
And apparently the Apple Pay is only working for physical in person transaction versus the In-App Apple Pay? It's so new still.
Yeah, I haven't really done much with the Discover It card yet. I should follow FrequentMiler's blog more frequent. The only thing I kinda follow occastionally is the Apple Pay thread over at SD: http://slickdeals.net/f/8095900-10-...-of-2015-or-20-for-those-with-double-cashback
I'm hoping the Apple Pay really works for In-App purchase and not just in person transaction at BM. Like the Raise App on the iOS has the Apple Pay option during check out. Maybe I'll purchase a Raise next month to see what Discover categorize the transaction as. Because supposedly "Gift Cards" are excluded, but the definition of Giftcard is kinda vague when Raise is only selling their service?
Did it all work out ok?Thanks, I will try that tomorrow. Wish me luck!![]()
