Seriously, I keep missing it! Still watching, did order my Disney gc already. Anyone know of Bubba Gumps or Uni GC?

Sam’s tends to run regular sales on the Landry’s chains. I just bought $90 value for $63 a couple of weeks ago on Sam’s one day sale. If you have some time, I’d keep an eye on their site.

I have checkmarks next to all 6 of my ebates/Rakuten BJ's gift card purchases today, no filler. Now the wait to see if the cashback pays out.

EDIT: When I hover over the checkmarks, it says $0. I think these are not going to credit.

Getting the same thing. Oh well, nothing lost for trying.

Does anyone have recent experience on purchasing an item at Best Buy using gift cards as payment via RMN or Rakuten?

Looking through terms:
RMN: Details: Combine with other offers for an even better deal! Cash back is earned on the qualifying purchase total after any discounts and before any fees, taxes, or shipping and handling are applied. Purchases of gift cards are excluded. Rewards earnings up to $70.00. This cash back reward will not exceed $70.00.

Rakuten: Cash Back Terms - Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on Best Buy gift cards....

I'm not buying gift cards, I'm paying with Best Buy gift cards so would I still get cash back at RMN?

Not with Best Buy, but I've paid with Express gift cards before. It still tracks. I don't think stores tell RMN what type of payment you use, only that you made a purchase.

A bit off-topic, but thought y'all would be interested in this.

Rakuten had a 10% cash back sale that ended last night at midnight yesterday. Athleta was one of the participating stores. Athleta also had a 20% off Friends & Family sale scheduled to start at 3am today. A little before midnight, I clicked the Athleta link from Rakuten, and put everything I wanted in my shopping cart, started the checkout (up until the point where it wouldn't accept my 20% off code), and then left the browser window open. When I woke up this morning, I finished the purchase. I got the normal Rakuten pop-up on my computer, saying I'd get 2% cash back (which is what the Athleta cash back dropped to today) - BUT, I just got an email confirming the posting of my cash back, and it posted at 10%! I realize it's a pretty specific circumstance where this would come in handy, but thought it was worth sharing. Just hoping it sticks around, because it was a BIG order that I placed.

Success! I was able to use the new Happy Holidays card at Lowe's to buy a DGC. The Lowe's I went to didn't have self check so I didn't try that. But the cashier rang it up, I waited until the console was ready, swiped and was done. Yay! I'm going to be ordering more from my Chase Rewards while they are 10% off.

Well, I guess I'll have to try this.

Ugh, I just ordered some. Fingers crossed I don’t have any trouble with mine.

Well my BB non-activated card issue actually went worse than expected...spent 20 minutes on the phone and the online help desk could not activate it and told me to go to my local store and they would activate it. Went to the store, and surprise, they could not activate it either and were confused as to why they even sent me to the store. So the store manager puts me on the phone with BB online help again and 20 minutes later, they say there is nothing they could do but finally agreed to send a new card to me. What a waste of time!!!

Because one person in the warehouse didn't take 20 seconds to properly activate the card, I wasted 2 hours plus drive time and the 4 BB employees who tried to help wasted an hour of their time. Not good BB, not good at all. But a shoutout to my local store - without asking, they gave me a $10 credit on a prior purchase for my troubles. At least someone there knows how to treat customers.

Hope you all had better luck and note to self and everyone else, select pick up in store so you can be sure they activate properly.

I am sorry to hear that. It sounds very aggravating. Glad you got $10 although I am sure you would rather not have had the trouble instead.
I just came back from Disney and my DGC from Best Buy came in the mail while I was gone. I just checked them and applied them to my DVC dues and they all were activated. Phew!

Oh no! Sorry to hear that.

One of my DGC from Best Buy were not activated as well. For some reason, their back office had sent me an e-mail (with a case ID even), saying to contact them if I have any issues. I wonder if they knew one of them had an issue, but it was already sent out. In any case, I replied to that e-mail and they fixed it in under 2 hours (!).

You can definitely buy online but you will need a membership. I’m pretty sure Groupon has been running a Sam’s membership special. And there is an AMEX offer out there right now a Sams club membership. I’m not sure how worth the membership cost it would be for you but many people become members and strictly buy online.

Woohoo bought 4 500 gift cards at BJS this evening. No problem with sale price!

Did you go to the store? I went today to pick them up and they rang up as $500. They also said the online bjs price isn’t the same as in store. The only to get those GC is buying online. I’m super nervous buying such a high value and relying on regular mail to deliver

Well they are correct in that the store prices can be different than the online, but the $500 is discounted normally in stores, it should never ring up as $500. The only ones that are face value are variable load ones (says $25-$500 or something on the face), there's no discount on those. A $500 Disney should be somewhere like 479.99-484.99 in stores. For the sale, sounds like the extra instant savings came off after it's totalled -

My husband just purchased $400 worth. They ring up at the regular price, then take an additional mount off. His receipt said $95.99 for each 100 card, then a $2.00 discount was taken off each one. They don't ring up at the lower rate, it works like an instant coupon.

That's a bummer. I went in store today because I wanted some Uber cards too and ended up buying Uber, Itunes and Disney.
The sale prices were not listed, so I asked and they had to ring it in to check. The sale prices came up as @Bonnie1222 said.
