you can add the card to your paypal under add payments , you can also paypal your DH 24.50 I think it cost .50 then add it to your bank I have done that twice

Check your email for an offer from Discover. Mine was a $10 statement credit if I spend $100 or more at Walmart. Thinking of buying a $100 Walmart gc and using at Sams to get a discounted Disney GC. Still need to read through terms to make sure that’s not excluded (normally it’s fine for this type of offer).

Groupon had 2 excellent deals for memberships recently. I did not check today but I would look there first. It came out free after all the bonuses.

Between DH and I we have this offer on 5 of our Chase accounts.

If I buy a GC with each Chase account - I assume I would get the discount on all 5 cards. Anyone do?

Update on my "lost balance" Gift Card

I got around to calling DCL when DH wasn't home - I was never home without him at the time and this is a total surprise cruise for him. DD wants me to tell him we are going to visit family or something and just show up at the port. (another DD lives in Orlando).

ANYWAY - I called DCL and the guy said "Oh that's a DGC problem, call them." (!?)
I called DGC and nice guy asked for the GC # and then said that the $100 went o DCL!!! I explained the problem and he said that it happens sometimes and I needed to call DCL back and ask for a manager - that DCL would contact DGC to reinstate my $100.
I called DCL back and was on hold and talked with several different people for about an hour!!
Bottom line - (It was Wed)- "I will call you back Saturday!!"
I got a call last night (Sat) about 7:50 telling me I should hear back Monday!!!!!?????

Just give me the $100 credit and find your internal error on your own time!!!

Totally agree! They should take your name & number and call you back letting you know it's been resolved, period. They should not keep you on hold nor waste your time & energy.

I wanted to share my experience today with the Happy Guy gift cards that I bought at Kroger on the 4x fuel points promotion. I bought 4 $50 HG gift cards and took them to Home Depot today to buy Disney gift cards with them. I got one $50 Disney gift card and went through the self check out lane with it. Their system would not accept the Happy Guy gift card as payment. A Home Depot employee came over and explained that they had recently changed their policy and you could no longer buy a gift card with a gift card.
So, I tried another Home Depot in my area. This time I was also buying a small filler item. I went to the self checkout and got the same error message about not being able to use the HG gift card. A helpful employee came over and tried processing my transaction selecting "credit" as payment method instead of gift card. This worked. I was able to buy the $50 Disney gift card and the filler item with my HG gift card. I paid with a credit card for the remaining balance, which was the price of the filler item.

So, now I have 3 more $50 HG gift cards that I hope to be able to convert to Disney gift cards. I will go back and try to buy the Disney gift card by selecting credit as the payment method and swiping the HG gift card. If that doesn't work, then I'll have to buy a filler item and hope that will work. This is a lot of work, and I think I'm probably done with purchasing the HG gift cards.

Are you going back to the original store or the one where it worked? I think it is mainly coming down to selecting credit as the payment type as that is how the Happy and Choice GCs are supposed to be ran. Just my theory, I've flipped quite a few Happy Guy GCs to Disney with no issues but I also have two HDs that are convenient to my route home. Actually planning to flip one today. Colorado, Denver area here.

ETA: I have also done as you did with a filler item, but the 'fillers' were things I was buying anyways and planning to pay with my credit card. No issues there either, just ran everything as credit.

I need about $400 more in gift cards for my June 20th trip. What's the best deal out there right now? I have a Target Red Card, Kroger (but last time I forgot to use the rewards!!!), and no cards right now that I'm trying to maximize a minimum spend or extra % back for my budget.
