Disney Gift Card Deals

I saw posts about a RMN $10 off $95 purchase at ShopDisney. I see $10 off $100+ and it states "excludes gift cards." Is this working for people?

Are everyone's disney gift balances correct? I loaded $100 yesterday and today it's not showing the updated balance. I even called the status line and it's telling me the balance short of what I loaded yesterday. I tried looking at history of the card but it's only giving me transactions from summer of last year... looks like the history tops out at the first 15 transactions.

I've been loading cards and then shredding them. Crap. Should have been tracking the numbers of each gift card in a spreadsheet like some of you here because my Saturday just became put the shredding back together day to check the balance of yesterday's card. Unless anyone else here reports weirdness on their gift cards associated with yesterday... Unfortunately no emails confirming yesterdays activity, but the emails have been a bit spotty in general from Disney gift card lately for me.

ETA: Please no one freak out! I suspect this was user error. I was rather under the weather yesterday and it would come as no surprise if I typed it all in and failed to click the final transfer button, and my browsing history shows I didn't do the double check of the my cards page after *sigh*

User error, doubt that. I used a Disney GC for my resort deposit, card had $1,000 now I can't even add money to the card, it's like frozen!

I also noticed on rmn site that they have increase the wait time. Previously it said within 15 -20 days it now says 45. I had a best Best Buy purchase (not gift card related) go pending today with an estimated approval of March 9. Wonder if the additional wait time is to catch the people buying gift cards. I think the fun may be over. Back to target or Sams with dosh for me. Luckily I’m set till May

This is what RMN stated a two weeks ago on their site and I bought clothes not gift cards. I'm still waiting....

C’est la vie. I’d hopped it was delayed updates or something. My weekend project is underway! So far I have a couple numbers & the phrase “security code”. Really regretting buying the fancy shredder right now...

6 hours of sorting through the shredding and a couple of gift cards codes pieced together but I finally found yesterday's and got my $100 back! Definitely never making that mistake again.

Was definitely user error. Thank goodness I had the day set aside for some serious cleaning today, nothing is clean but my $100 for Disney is back. Idk what happened with your gift card, but it might be a good thing you can't add any more funds to the card since if you need your deposit back for some reason it will refund to that gift card.

It could still be working for the discounted Disney gift cards since they are 142.98 or 70 something for the 3 pack of $25. I am not giving up all hope just yet!

hmm... I’m rating it 1/5 would not do again. It gets one point because gosh did it keep my attention! But it losses 3 points for boring and 1 point for sharp edges and bent pieces

I'm wondering if the issue is the purchase of merchant gift cards (Sam's gc at Sam's for example). I still have a Staples purchase pending - will be curious to see what happens with that one.

Dosh question- linked my card, now all I do is go use that card in Sam's? I don't see anywhere to activate that offer or anything else to do, seems too easy.

No that’s all. Just be aware that it takes some time for the card entered to work. Like if you linked your card at 8 am and shopped at Sams later that morning, it might not be enough time for the linking to take effect. I’d go as late in the day as possible if you just linked the card this morning, and hopefully it will work. Ideally I’d give it a couple days, but the Sams deal ends today, so that’s not really an option. I did this once last September when I first got my Dosh acct (no credit then), and did it AGAIN this month (can’t believe I did that!) with a different card. And no credit once again. You’d think I’d have learned the first time.

I'm glad it worked out. Thanks for the reminder about keeping track of cards. I have kept track of my total, but not the individual cards. I need to do that.

I know I’m not the person you quoted, but I keep all the cards. I write in the outside “Payment 1 $500 1/25/19” or whatever dollar amount and date. Then on the ones I combine I write “Transfer to Payment 1 1/25/19 $0”

Then the transferred ones go in a ziplock, and the payments go in a ziplock, and they go in a box I have next to the computer.

Then once I’m actually at Disney, I take one or two with me so if the physical card gets lost I can transfer the balance to another one.

Just checked this morning and it's still pending (unless computers don't work on the weekends !). Check again Monday morning.
Going by Sam's this afternoon for another $20. My first one came thru. Yeah.

It takes forever to see the offer’s money back posted. I used my offer Jan 1 but my $19 back didn’t show up until Jan 11. So 10 days after purchase for me. So it wasn’t forever, just seemed like it.

Thanks for asking this question and for posting the answer. I thought I did something wrong . I purchased $100 GC at Staples using the Chase card that had 30% off activated. I also had a $5 offer activated via RMN (didn't realize that). The RMN hit - but when I checked Chase statement - got hit for the full amount. Guess I will wait a week or so and check again.

Ugh just messed up at Sam's. Went in to get a bottle of wine and $250 Sam's card. Paid with my uber and dosh linked visa. However they were having issues with their system and couldn't sell Sam's gift cards. So I just had to get the wine. I was bummed and flustered and without thinking I put in my visa card to pay when I should have just used one of my Sam's gift cards. Got back to the car and realized I could have just bought Disney gift cards instead. Sonic went back in but then remembered the dosh offer is only valid once per day and I used it up on a $7 bottle of wine!!!!

I did end up getting the $150 disney pack for $144.98 and used DH's dosh linked Amex. So I didnt max out the uber or dosh. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

I bought at Sam’s with 2 transactions and still got credit. I thought it was just $20 maximum per day didn’t know it all needed to be in one transaction.

How long has it taken for Sam’s $45 credit to load onto your Sam’s account? The Sam’s worker was very flustered and couldn’t seem to answer that question.. the only thing she knew was it wouldn’t load immediately. Will there be a way to know if it’s loaded. My nearest location isn’t exactly on my regular route, so I’d be making a special trip. Just didn’t want to waste a trip.
Speaking of making a special trip...Dosh is available every 24hrs? It took so long signing up yesterday that I didn’t check out until 5:45 last evening.. today they close at 6pm. I’d have to ring out after 5:45, right?
