I just noticed that the Happy Dining cards are now an option for redeeming Discover cashback. Would be interesting if they added some more of those...

I’m not sure if this info has been shared already, but I got an email from BJs yesterday saying the gift card sale ends 10/31.

I think it's YMMV. Hopefully your BBB is much better than mine. I'm going to try a 3rd store tomorrow that's 40 mins away.
One of the rules we've learned in this thread is to never sink a lot of money into GCs at a store that you wouldn't otherwise be able to make use of. Stores can change their policy on a whim and you're stuck with cards you can't convert to Disney. It's already happened at Kmart, GameStop, Target, and Best Buy, and probably a few more I've forgotten about.
That said, until it's hard-coded into their system, I wouldn't give up just yet. Try a different BBB (if there's one in driving distance) or at a different time with a different cashier. Sometime you just need to get the right person to get the transaction to go through.
Worst-case scenario is you sell online through an exchange website and maybe make your money back.
Just an fyi... the 8% bjs $100 gcs are sold out... the $50’s are still in stock
Glad that it worked out well for you. Hope these go on sale again during the holiday madness sales. So update on my Happy card - Bed Bath Beyond conversion.
My cards came last week. Six $60 Happy Kid cards, for $50 each.
Went to BBB on three trips, and converted for 2 $50 Disney GCs each time. No problems.
I held the card and swiped it. No one asked to look at it, and nothing apparently popped up on the screen. I had 4 different cashiers, and no problem with any of them. I did have to sign the slip like it was a regular credit card, which seemed odd to me, but no one gave it a second glance.
So, now I've got $300 spending money for Disney from the deal, and six Happy Kid cards with $10 on each. I'll bring them along for a possible Rainforest Cafe or Yak&Yeti meal, but otherwise they'll be converted into new leggings for DD at Gymboree or tickets to the new Fantastic Beasts movie for the boys.
DOSH dropped from 5% at Sam's Club to 2% when I wasn't looking between Monday and Tuesday. I thought I had until the 31st, but I was mistaken. I didn't realize it until the cash back popped up for a lot less than I was expecting. At least Uber still posted at 5%.
Glad that it worked out well for you. Hope these go on sale again during the holiday madness sales.
There is always an other Disney so we always keep saving for the next. Our Disney trip will be over then, but I might just keep stalking this thread for good deals. I always do Starbucks gift cards for all my kids' teachers, so I'd love to be able to snag some of those at a discount.

I agree. DD is three, and I'm planning to take her next year when she's 4. I figure that's the perfect time to do princesses AND rides. We can go without worrying about school calendars, too, because she won't have started K. This trip is just with the older kids (8 and 10) and will focus on "big" rides. Since I do these trips alone, it helps to have either one age group or the other.
Unfortunately, DH is very anti-gift cards. He hates the idea of money being tied up in GC for months/years rather than earning interest in our accounts. I don't know I fully agree as the 20% I got on the Happy Cards is a far sight better than the stock market is doing these days, but I do see his point. So our current compromise is that any GCs I buy have to be for fairly quick use.
After this trip, my focus will be on discount GCs for holiday giving, and daily use like Target. I can always use more staples like laundry detergent and socks, so I'll use Amazon, Target, etc. on a regular basis, and the cards won't sit in a drawer.
For those who have gotten Kroger Best Customer offers for bonus fuel points on a gift card purchase... is it in addition to the normal ones you'd earn? I just got one for 200 extra points. I'm wondering if it will be on top of the 4x points event this weekend.
You can’t use Best Buy gc to purchase other gift cards. Am I reading this wrong? Are u buying bb gc to then buy Disney gc?I have pretty much the best deal I've seen for best buy gift cards (buy disney gift cards with them YMMV) if you have a Giant Food Store in your area and do the gas deals:
1 Giant food app: 30 off grocery purchase with 200 best buy gift card
2 Gas deal 10x gas points on best buy gift gard (max 25 gallons) 200 BB GC=2000 gas points= 50 off gas
3 Checkout with samsung/chase pay for 5X bonus category chase freedom
So in all I did this deal twice
Breakdown= $400 BB gift card + 60 groceries= $460 purchased for 460-60(app coupons)-100 (gas)-20 (freedom cash back)= $280 for $400 in gift cards and $60 in groceries.
I also purchased extra gas deals with the 30 in groceries for more gas points!
Unbelievable deal!
This deal is only valid till tommorrow 11/1

Damn, that was the plan. I did it before. Oh well, my daughter wants a new phone for xmas. Guess I know where I'll be buying it. LOL.Hopefully that's not the plan though that's what it looks like. Hopefully they come nack here to see you can't buy any gc with a bb gc before they buy a bunch of bb gc.
Just found a $10/$50 happy GC digital coupon in the kroger app. not sure if it's been mentioned before.
My DH didn't really "get" my obsession with SB either until he started earning a few gift cards for himself. This past week, he took a bunch of his Wal-Mart cards that he has been saving for the past six months (earned from SB) and took them to Sam's Club where he bought himself $150 worth of discounted Cabela's gift cards. Then, he went to Cabela's and bought a Silver Stag knife combo that he has been eyeing. It retails for $200 but it was on sale and he was able to cover the entire cost with his gift cards that he had earned for free from Swagbucks. Most of the money earning apps do Paypal. Ibotta, swagbucks, ebates, dosh, mypoints, receipt hog. You can just save it in your account and earn interest until your trip.
I do not know where you bank but i know that our banks are not paying high interest no matter how much i have in there. Plus money that goes into savings or other accounts never comes out for vacations or things to splurge on. I have a separate account for that called an envelope in my drawer with Disney GC, Starbucks GC, cashcalled vacation with different destinations crossed out lol. Because if it goes in to my bank it is not coming out.
I am probably making more money turning my earning in to gc than what my banks pay me.
DH used to think i was a bit crazy for doing all this with gc. Mostly because we can afford a vacation without doing it and because he didn't understand the process. I explained to him how I ordered him razors he needed and payed less than $10 but got $40 back and how when I buy gc at BB I am making an extra $10 at least for every $100. We are taking a vacation with 14 people to Disneyland and I earned enough to pay for 5 breakfast/dinners for the group. All through these apps.
I like to splurge when on vacation and it feels so much better when I splurge with SB money.
