Disney Gift Card Deals

For those with a local Meijer, there's a new gift card deal that runs through 5/19, get $5 in rewards for every $50 purchased in gift cards up to 10x. There are exclusions, but most gift cards work such as Disney. Last time I took advantage of this deal, I was able to purchase $500 in gift cards, and the $5 rewards posted 10x in mperks. I was able to redeem all the rewards on grocery items during my next visit to Meijer.

Do you have to do the Best Buy cash star deal separately to get 3 $10 certificates or can you just buy 3 $100 gift cards in the same order and get all three ?

Cash pool is offering $90 for a $100 BB gift card. So you can use the $90 toward Disney gift cards then get $12 back through Swagbucks and have the $10 reward to use to buy items for your trip like chargers or earphones.

Used a $25 BB g/c from swagbucks, $7+change e-gift card (from Coinstar) and cash at Best Buy in Manchester, CT yesterday and bought a $50 Disney g/c, no problems or questions. Stop & Shop grocery store has deal this week for $15 off your groceries if you buy $100 Best Buy...hope g/c to g/c works for awhile more in CT.

I don’t have that in my Stop and Shop ad in East Hartford. Just extra gas points. Was it a special offer on your app?

Same question. My weekly add just says 4x gas points on the purchase of a BB gc (and others).

Best Buy question: My BB is still accepting gcs for gcs (as of Friday) however, if they stop accepting them can I still use my $10 rewards from cashstar for a gc or no? Are those the same rules as gcs?

Drove to BB in Allentown,PA today. Not my local BB but had other places to go there. They had $25,$50 and variable load Disney. I asked at register if I could use a BB gift card. Cashier wasn’t sure so she asked the manager. Was told no. I didn’t have one to try out so I can’t confirm for sure.
What I did find out...I was purchasing $300 worth. I took $50’s , $25’s and a variable load to the register (there is a sign at that store that no more than $200 on a variable load and there’s a limit of 3). Rang up first purchase with SB code ($50 variable). Went to do 2 $25 cards. Register didn’t accept the purchase. Calls over manager. She says maybe we aren’t carrying them anymore. I said well try the $50 card. That would not process either. Manager seemed stumped then goes to get more variable load. Ended up purchasing 6 $50 variable load cards. Not quite sure why the others would not ring up. Anyone else seeing this happen?

When you order, it looks as if you are ordering a gift card. The funds actually just get dumped into your Paypal account. Very easy. Once the funds hit your Paypal account, you can transfer to your bank immediately. It takes 1 business day for the transfer from Paypal to bank.

I have not seen this happening. Was this at the Whitehall Best Buy across from the LV Mall? It's interesting because I had no problems buying the 50 dollar gc but didn't try the variable on May 1st.

Yes, that was the location. The register would not even recognize the $25 and $50 cards. Cashier and manager tried scanning them several different ways. I used a credit card to pay so it had nothing to do with trying to pay with a BB gift card.

Ah sorry I misread. I have never seen that problem before. Glad you were able to make your purchase!

What was your method of payment, I have $150 Meijer gc can I use that?

Just an FYI for anyone interested. I tried to get Disney gc at my bed, bath, and beyond today. I know it is pretty much YMMV. They wouldn’t let me and said it was a corporate policy. I remember reading in here someone that called corporate and they told her you could and called her store to tell them. Well, I called corporate and the girl I talked to said you can’t. I told her of someone else getting a different answer and she flat said “it depends on who you talk tptany given day”. What!? Lol

I don't know if Paypal does that. I've always transferred to my bank.

The ten dollar reward is basically a gift card with a set time period it can be used. I'm going to assume those won't work either.

No more BB for me in NC. BUT it has nothing to do with GC->GC transactions (probably). Last week I sent DH with a SB BB QR code and a $50 BB GC. This was on Apr 30. He was able to use the BB GC, but after scanning the SB code, no SB credit (and it wasn't listed on the receipt like normal). We have done this countless times before, so we know what to do/what the receipt should say. I chalked it up to either cashier error or a system glitch. Went today to buy a Disney GC (paying cash), scanned the QR code on my phone, and once again, no SB or mention of it on the receipt. No reason for me to continue with BB if I won't get the SB. When the cashier was ringing me up, the manager came over and told him "you need to scan both barcodes. You only scanned one." The cashier looked at he like he was crazy. The manager said "we have been having a lot of issues lately with GC's not activating". You know as soon as I left the store, I was checking my GC balance and thankfully, all was well. However, since SB is no longer working for some reason, my BB/Disney days are over.

I am hoping for everyone else's sake, that this is some weird glitch in my store only. I have done many of the SB BB QR codes before, with no problems. But the past 2 not working, when I am doing the same exact thing as before, is odd (and disappointing!).
