Disney Gift Card Deals

Is this relatively recent? Good to know... I can still go in store, but it was so convenient to do it at home :-)
No not new. Haven’t been able to buy online with gift cards for a while (I’m thinking 20 months or so).

I bought two $300 target gift cards using target gift cards. They cost me about $450 when you figure in my fuel points and cash back from my credit card.

Currently at Target. Taking a break at the Starbucks. So far I have purchased 4 Target Cards at $300 each using a different credit card for each transaction.
1. Paid in electronics
2. Self checkout (attendant had to complete transaction)
3. Guest services
4. Normal checkout

I’m going to do one more at a different checkout lane, since I have 5th credit card to use. Then off to another Target to repeat the process (hopefully).

In case, you are wondering, the pharmacy can’t checkout the gift cards.

Impressive! No wonder you needed a Starbucks break!

Havanese, Did you do this at self check out, or with a cashier? I was successful with this at self check out, but the register would not let the cashier accept a T gift card to pay for a T gift card. I'm not sure if she was doing something wrong, or if her register really wouldn't allow it.

Self checkout. I try to avoid cashiers when I’m buying gift cards.

I bought 4 in a row going through different check out lanes. They didn't seem to notice or care. I also only have one credit card so they were all on same one. Hoping they aren't cancelled or something

Kroger shoppers—are you getting 4x fuel points on fixed value visa and mc cards? I’m only getting 2x.

Update

Went to second Target. Got 6 $300 Cards. One at Guest Services. The other 5 at the electronics register. Just told the cashier that I wanted to do 5 different transactions. He asked why I was getting so many. I told him was going to use them later to get Disney Cards. His response, “ I wanna go to Disney.” LOL

So grand total of Target cards is $3300 for $2970.

I'm heading out to purchase Target Gift cards that I will use to purchase Disney GC. I just want reassurance that I will be able to use these GC to purchase our tickets online from Disney. TIA

I bought a $300 Target GC this morning online before church. After church, I went to BB and bought a $495 Disney gift card with my $450 BB gift card and (3) $15 promo codes from the CashStar deal. I did not have any of the dreaded "000" ones so they all worked fine. I had no issue at checkout and the cashier even commented about what a great deal I got. After I peruse the Target ad and make my grocery list (Meijer is right next door), I'll head out and get my next Target gift card.

So today, I will hopefully end up with $495 in Disney gift cards from BB (paid $450) and another $550 in Target gift cards (paying $495) which I will eventually turn into Disney gift cards. That $1045 will pay almost all of my 2018 DVC dues (which will be about $1062) which means I saved over $100! Instead of the automatic monthly debit plan, I "pay" our dues by having $40 deposited into an online bank account out of every paycheck. Then, when these discounted gift card deals come up, I use that money to buy the gift cards and pay the dues in a lump sum at the beginning of the year. Hopefully, Disney will continue to allow gift cards as payment because I really like being able to save 10% on my dues each year.

What's the most anyone has purchased? $300? $1000? More?

What's the most on Target gift cards anyone has been able to buy?

Has anyone been successful buying more than $300 worth in the stores?
Wife and I each did 3x$300 this morning with no issues. One in rear self checkout, one in regular checkout, one in front self checkout. $1,800 total purchased to be converted into Disney.

Combine that with $2,400 GCs purchased from Giant Eagle (grocery store) with 12% back (in the form of fuel) and we are set to payoff our January trip and saved $468 total. Great Weekend!!

Target 10% recap: I IM'ed Discover to let them know I was making several $270 purchases with my card. Bought 2 x $300 online with my account and hub's account. Bought 3 x $300 in-store using self-checkout, elecronics, and regular checkout.

Tomorrow I plan to cash out at a couple different Targets, plus use my 20% off coupon from BF at one of them to pick up some household staples and wrap up Christmas shopping. I also have Best Buy and BBB to visit tomorrow, which should easily cover my Dopey trip and have some leftover to save for the next trip in late 2018/early 2019

Saw it on slickdeals but as usual lots of misinformation there so PLEASE use BB online chat prior to purchasing gift cards or anything else for that matter.

I bought two $300 Target gift cards at the same register with the same credit card with no problems. Technically DH was with me but I did both transactions with my credit card. The cashier did do process it as two separate transactions but they didn't give me any issues.

So I have used 5 different email accounts (all pre-existing accounts belonging to me, my husband and my kids). All the transactions say they went through. 3 of the five were supposed to be sent to an email address, 1 through the regular mail and 1 to my mobile phone number. I see 2 of the 3 emailed ones and just sent the 3rd so maybe that'll show up within the next hour or 2. I am worried about the mobile one and of course will have to wait to see about the snail mail one. I live far away from a target so wanted to accumulate them through the website. I might end up going though later in case I don't see the mobile one or the 3rd email one show up soon. Is there a good chance of the ones I see in my email box complete with card numbers and bar codes not being activated/deactivated or in some way disabled so that they will not let me use them at the store because my household purchased more than 1? I used 2 different credit cards for the transactions. Thanks or any feedback.

We did the same thing today. The system and the cashier did not stop us. So we did not have to run around to different stores or even different parts of the store. In and out in 10 minutes.

I'm going to stop by Target after work. I've got $445 in gift cards to use - $20 FWP, $50 from Lowe's, and the rest is from using some Visa gcs I had to buy Target gcs at the grocery store. I got about $20 in fuel points. About $75 of the Visa gcs I counted as found money... got it as a deal and it was supposed to be for groceries, and I deducted the cash from my grocery budget... and never used the gc :) I'll for sure do a full $600 with those gcs, and I'm debating to do another $600 online with my account and DH's (or in store...) since we have Discover cards. So I'm getting at least $600 plus $20 in gas money for around $415 OOP (~67%) and might pick up more for the effective 14.5% off with Discover. I'm happy.

Does Staples sell 3rd party gcs in store?

First Target i went to I heard the manager tell employees 1 gift card only no exceptions.
2nd Target i went to no one said anything. I did see some annoyed people thinking
the 10 percent was off ALL cards.
