I rented DVC points and want to pay for my disney dining using a gift card instead of giving an unknown person my credit card info. Is it possible to get a gift card for any amount i want? Around 1277 dollars.

Thanks

Kroger does variable load up to $500 so you'd need three. Disneystore.com also only seems to go up to $500 but they don't do variable load. Has to be in specified increments. Target only has $50 gift cards from what I can tell.

Linking your credit card to your room is going to be a lot less risky than putting $1300 on a gift card. If you lose that card, you can pretty much kiss that money good bye.

You may be able to load any amount onto a Disney gift card at a Disney store. Back in 2007 (when we still had a Disney Store:sad:), I would go there every two weeks and load up a gift card with our bottle refunds. I know that it was not in $5 increments...sometimes it was $7, sometimes $13...random amounts, but always whole dollars. You may still be able to do that...I wish I had a Disney Store within 100 miles so I could find out:sad2:.

Not room charges. If you rent DVC points you need to pay for the dining plan all at once to get it. If you rent through David's the only ways to do that are to give the points owner your cc info so they can pay for it or get gift cards to pay for the plan. They wouldn't need to bring the gift cards anywhere, just get the info to the DVC member.

Gift cards are limited to $500. You can link multiple to a Disney Vacation Account and pay with that. If the person seems confused, tell them to enter it as a gift card.

I rented my DVC points several years ago through David's, and a couple of months after the rental went through I was sent an email to call and get the gift card information. They only used 1 card to pay for the DDP, and it seems like it was close to $1100. I don't remember the exact amount, but I do know that they had bought the card specifically with that amount, because it was an odd number.
