Disney Gift Card and the Cruise

Can a Disney Gift Card (more specifically, ones bought at the Disney Store) be used to pay off a Disney Cruise? I wasn't sure if DCL would take them? I assume you'd have to mail or call them with the numbers on the back of the card.

If they accept them, this would be an excellent way for me to save up cruise money that I can't sneak into and borrow from.

yes - I have several that were christmas/birthday/mother's day gifts since everyone knew I was cruising in SEP!
