Disney GC for dues/loans?

Hoping someone can help.
I know we can use disney GC for paying DVC dues - I've done it before. Can we also use disney GC to pay towards an outstanding loans? And can this be done online or would I have to call member accounting?

To clarify - my MIL has an outstanding loan for one of her contracts that was bought directly from Disney. She does the direct debit for both dues/loan. We would like to make a one time payment towards the loan and trying to figure out if we can save some money by paying with a Disney GC. I would use the cash to get the GC at 5% off at Target (via redcard) and then apply the GC total towards the loan payment.

Any help would be appreciated. Don't have time right now to call DVC and be on hold for 30+ minutes.

Unless something changed in the past 2 years, gift cards are not an option for paying a balance, and the online balance paying form only lists standard credit cards.

I just paid my dues with a gift card and the last thought I was asking to pay in my loan and told me that I wasn't allowed to. So in short no, I don't think you can pay your loan with a gift card.
