Disney Furniture

My DW and I are trying to put together a Disney family room in our house and are finding it more difficult than we thought to find tables and such that would fit our Disney theme. We have come to find out that Disney is only making furniture to fit the needs of childrens' bedrooms. This is very disturbing.

We are looking for a coffee table and 2 end tables for the room.

Does anyone know where to go to get these things? I was trying not to do the custom made furniture thing but it looks like we might have to.

Wouldn't be hard to make a Mickey table... Lowes sells oak & pine table rounds in several different sizes. Would just take some glue & a few screws to make it into Mickey. They've got legs, as well.

If you didn't want to make one, you could always get a few of the inexpensive little round tables (one larger, two smaller)... have the smaller tables be a little shorter, set them just under the edge of the larger table, and voila! Mickey.

If you didn't want shaped, you could always just get standard tables & paint them... either with Mickey stencils, or just Mickey colors... red top (maybe with yellow ovals for buttons), black legs, yellow feet...

The Disney Catalog did have a couple sets of wooden chairs/tables a while ago... one looked like logs, with Mickey heads, the other was more adirodack, with a Mickey head shaped small table (but the surface wasn't solid)

Thank you for the input. I will check out Lowes. I think that that might work out just fine.

You could try ebay, you might find something there.

I have a Mickey rocker and a small iron table I bought several years ago.

I also made a table using Boxes from WDW they sent out several years ago and a glass top.

I'm thinking of getting a display coffee table and putting Disney things like ears, buttons, pins and ornaments inside. I haven't seen end tables with a display but would like some for that also.
