Disney Free dining

Hi,
I am new here. Just stumbled across the great place!!! I am planning a trip this year and was wondering if anyone new when the free dining was going to be this year. I went in Sept of 06, and I thought it was always in Sept, but someone told me they change it, is that true?

Any advice, will be greatly appreciated. Also, if any body has any adivice on which value resort is the best, I would appreciate it.

Free Dining is usually offered the 1st or 2nd week of April. The CMs that I've spoken to over tha past few weeks all confirm that this is when it'll be issued again this year. Free Dining usually takes place from late August till the end of September.

Those who stayed in September 07 were offered a bounceback for free dining so if they wanted it they already have their reservations (we got the bounceback for September 1 - 9 at at the Coronado). As previous poster stated, it is usually announced the first week of April. You'll find it posted here as soon as it is announced. Sorry...can't help you on the value resorts. We have only stayed at the All Star Sports many years ago for four days and ten transferred to to the Coronado. We did not like the All Star at all...but we like a more quiet resort after long days at the parks.

Ditto what everyone said. We went last September and took advantage of the bounceback program and booked the trip again for this September.

I think this will be the last year we go to Disney for a while. Last year the free DDP included appetizers and tips. This year, no appetizers and tips are not included. So it's just getting a bit too expensive for us.



Also, we booked our Sept 2007 trip in April 2007. So be on the lookout for the offer in April! Good luck!

Are the restaurants really busy during the Free Dining?

They can be. As long as you make sure to make all ADRs well, well in advance, you should be able to get in most places. If not for dinner, then for lunch.
