Is that pistachio baklava there all the time or only during food and wine?

All the time. Go to Tangeriene Cafe and look to the left - there's a little dessert counter there that sells a variety of baklava. Pistachio is my fav!

Haven't been on this thread for a while! I go back to WDW next month and will have lots of food/drink pictures to share. I'm contemplating doing a dining review!

yaksack - http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Butterbeer

It tasted sort if like cream soda but not quite as sweet. Very good! Wish I could get it outside of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! And it is non-alcoholic...that's the next question I'm sure!

There are lots of recipes for butterbeer on pintrest! I know my DD and DDIL will make it sometimes and say its really good! I have never had it, so I can't comment on it.

This whole thread is making me FREAK OUT!!
Two weeks to go and it can't come quick enough for me!!!!!

Well it looks like the mods were not able to restore the posts that were lost last month. So, while these photos have been posted previously, Figment wanted to re-post the photos that were lost from his March Flower & Garden trip. :goodvibes

Continuing with Figment Goes to the Flower & Garden (& Food) Festival...

Cooke's of Dublin (Downtown Disney, Lunch)
Figment is a big fan of Raglan Road, so he wanted to try Cooke's of Dublin next door. It was little after normal lunch time when he got there and it was still busy. During busy times, it can be pretty hard to find a table, but Figment got lucky because a group was leaving while he was looking for a table. Figment tried the Fish & Chips (top) and the Scallop Forest (bottom). The fish and chips had a nice big piece of fish. The Scallop Forest was very much like the one served in Raglan Road (minus the presentation). The scallops were crispy on the outside and moist on the insde.

For dessert, he tried the Strawberry Roll. It was cake with strawberries and cream rolled inside. It was very good, but would have probably been better if it was cooler (it got warmish while Figment was eating because not much of the seating area is shaded).

Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge, Dinner)
Figment has not been to Arist Point in a while, so he decided to go back. He likes to have an early dinner there so he can watch the sun set (you can't actually see the sun, just the changing color of the sky) through the giant picture windows. Dinner at Artist Point starts with bread service. Along with the bread, butter and olive oil are served.

Figment was still celebrating his family's anniversary. Artist Point celebrated with a glass of champagne with a raspberry.

For his appetizers he tried the Heirloom Tomato Salad (top) and the Smokey Portobello Soup (bottom). The salad is presented very interestingly. It has good variety and flavor. The soup was outstanding; it was very rich (so a little goes a long way), but very flavorful. (Figment was sharing the soup with another and they divided it in the kitchen and served it in two bowls!)

DSC_0359_1_zps7e14c296.jpg

For his entrees, he tried the Seared Diver Scallops (top), Wild Caught Jumbo Prawn and Crab "Hot-Pot" (middle) , and the Cedar Plank Roasted Wild King Salmon (bottom). The scallops were cooked perfectly (as explained at last year's F&W festival demo). They were slighly translucent in the middle and seared on the outside). The hot pot had lots of seafood. The broth was slighly spicky, but still very flavorful. The salmon is brought to the table on the ceder plank and then plated table side. The salmon was moist and very good.

For dessert, Figment tried the Arist Point Cobbler, which was very yummy. The housemade ice cream was very smooth and full of berry flavor. The cobbler was warm and had lots of fruit inside.

Next time...Be Our Guest (lunch) and 'Ohana on Figment's birthday!

Were you able to get this dessert as part of DDP? I've read several posts on other threads that state they only allow you a couple of specific desserts on DDP at Cookes of Dublin, and that looks tasty? So was hoping it would be included!!!!

**Darn it didn't quote right** Sorry....

Sorry, but I wasn't using the DDP and unfortunately, Cookes of Dublin limits the QS credit desserts to a cookie, fruit, or ice cream.

For quoting, you just need to add "[/QUOTE]" (without the quotes) at the end of the part that you're quoting. :)

Be Out Guest (Magic Kingdom, Lunch)
Figment was very exicted because it was the first time he was getting to eat at Be Our Guest and it was his birthday (Journey Into Imagination opened on March 5, 1983). The wait was about thirty minutes to get into Be Our Guest. Each party is given an electronic rose to help the servers deliver the food to the right table.

Figment started his meal with the Potato Leek Soup, which had surprisingly good flavor.
DSC_0759_1_zps3c9d2871.jpg

For his entrees, Figment tried the Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin style) (top), Carved Turkey Sandwich (middle), and the Grilled Steak Sandwich (bottom). The braised pork was fork tender and good. The vegetables were also braised and very tender. The turkey and steak sandwhiches were good.

Then for dessert, Figment tried three different sweets: the Triple Chocolate Cupcake (left), the Chocolate Cream Puff (middle), and the Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake (right). The chocolate cupcake was very rich. The cream puff filling was good, but the shell was entirely soft (instead of being cripy on the outside and soft on the inside). The starwberry cupcake was Figment's favorite. It had good flavor and he couldn't taste the cream cheese (which is a good thing because Figment isn't a fan of cream cheese).

'Ohana (Polynesian Resort, Dinner
Figment's birthday dinner was at 'Ohana. The meal starts with Welcome Bread. THe bread has a pineapple flavor and is slighly sweet.

DSC_0798_1_zpsdc357cde.jpg

For his birthday, Figment had the raspberry lemonade (nothing fancy really, but Figment liked the color).

DSC_0800_1_zpsccda1e02.jpg

Once seated, the food starts to come out very quickly. There are several starters: mixed greens (top), Potstickers and Honey Coriander Chicken Wings (middle), and Vegetable Lo Mien (bottom). The greens was a light way to start the meal. The pot sitckers were yummy. The chicken wings were slighly sweet, but very good, and very sticky. The lo mien was okay.

After that, they start to bring around skewers with either chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp. Figment's favorite is the shrimp. They're still kind of messy because you have to peel them, but they're worth it. The beef is also really good (it comes around at medium, but you can ask for custom temperatures).

DSC_0824_1_zps9d2a0d3b.jpg

The meal ends with Bread Pudding and Ice Cream. Figment isn't really a fan of bread pudding, so he didn't really care for the dessert. However, the ice cream was really good and it went very well with the birthday cupcake that they gave him!

Still to come...Liberty Tree Tavern, Rose & Crown, and much more!

Continuing with re-posting Figment Goes to the Flower & Garden (& Food) Festival...

Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom, Lunch)
Another favorite lunch place of Figment's is Liberty Tree Tavern. Figment started with the New England Clam Chowder, which had lots of clams.

DSC_0002_1_zps51fefa69.jpg

For his entree, he had the Colony Salad. It's nice and light (especially consider dessert), which chicken, apples, craisins, and pecans.

DSC_0010_1_zps5fb73ec2.jpg

And then it was time for dessert! This is one of Figment's favorite desserts: the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. It's very rich and yummy. The cake base is dense and chewey and it's topped with ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauce, and toffee bits.

Rose & Crown (Epcot, Dinner)
Figment had dinner at Rose & Crown so he could have a yummy dinner and watch Illuminations. It took a long time to be seated (over 45 minutes after the ADR time). Still, the food was good. Dinner started with a Scotch Egg (top) and the Seasonal Soup, Potato (bottom). The Scotch Egg is a sausage wrapped hard boiled egg. It was very tasty. The seasonal soup was also good, but the egg was better.

For his entrees, he had the Cottage Pie (top) and the FIsh and Chips (bottom). The cottage pie was very good and just like he remembered it. The fish and chips were also good, with a light crispy batter on the outside and moist flakey fish on the inside.

Dinner ended with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It's very sweet, but very yummy.
