Tutto Italia dinner (Candlelight Processional Package): 12/14/10
Standard bread and olive oil. The ricotta and basil spread - OMG! I wish I had asked for more of this. The pepper was very fresh because it was very spicy. The olives were good, but they still had their pits.
DH's appetizer: caesar salad, which he loved
Mine: Eggplant Caponata, very very good
DH's entree: pasta with sausage ragu. He said it was excellent but he wanted more sauce (he should have just asked). The pasta was thicker, kind of like gnocci
My lasagna. I love lasagna and have probably tried it at most of the italian restaurants we've been to. I had heard someone say this was like Chef Boyardee. Ummm, not in the slightest. It was way too much, but very very good.
DH went with the chocolate and hazelnut torte with whipped cream, and raspberry sauce. He really liked it.
I got the trio sampler. It was a small chocolate and hazelnut torte without the whipped cream or raspberries (right), a small cannoli (middle), and tiramisu in a chocolate cup (left). All three were good but I liked the cannoli best.
