The pulled beef sandwich from flame tree is really good, too!

Like I said, they looked better than they were. Neither DW or I could even finish them.
And the kids' hot dogs weren't much better. I doubt we'll go back.
We did Pizzafari last trip and enjoyed it and will probably try Yak & Yeti next time.

It looked better than it was.
We thought it was average at best.
But the view from the seating area by the duck pond was awesome!

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy Flame Tree. We had a quick lunch here in summer and really enjoyed it. DH had the sandwich, which was really yummy, and I had the fruit/yogurt plate which caused everyone to look at me like I was nuts but it was fantastic!

I've got to agree with you, though, that view is terrific!

French Market in Disneyland.

Roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggies, and cheddar corn bread. With a Disneyland mint julep and Jack Skellington cheesecake.

And... after the meal... where ya gotta go??? The bathroom of course! So here's a few pictures of it (These don't do it justice! The bathroom is amazing! By far the best looking bathroom I've seen yet!) :confused3 WHAT???:confused3 I'm a plumber! I notice bathrooms! So call me weird!

The pictures were a lot more colorful on my camcorder. Not sure why they look so washed out on here.:confused3

The eel was great. It had this really "exotic" texture that you gotta try at least once in your life!!! It was like wet-gummy ropes in your mouth. The whole meal was one of our single favorites of the week.

Your pics make me wish that we were going to Teppan Edo, my son's would love it.
Oh well guess we'll have to plan another trip
Glad to see that you are back posting pics.

DH and I quite enjoyed FTBBQ as well. He had the ribs and I had the pulled pork sandwich. I really loved mine and he said his was much better than he expected for CS ribs. We would definitely go back!

I have been to Whispering Canyon Cafe many many times but this was the first time I ordered something other then the skillet and I was not disappointed!

This is my Western Chicken Pasta it was so yummy!

My husband ordered 2 appetizers for his meal he got the fried chicken wings which were delicious but SPICY which I love and the dipping sauce they came with was super delicious (I'm big on dipping sauces) and he got the cheese and sausage plate, I didn't taste any of the sausage but the cheese was sprinkled with seasoning and it was really a nice touch!

I'm not a plumber but I loved the bathroom too! It is beautiful. I made my husband go check it out too.

What did you think of the green tea pudding? I was shocked at how well I liked it.

Flame Tree is my single favorite CS. I've never had a meal that wasn't delicious. Though I will add that the ribs there 2 weeks ago weren't as good as usual. I hope they aren't cutting back to economize!
I think the key to Flame Tree is that AMAZING barbeque sauce. I told my wife on the next trip I was going to make a $10 contribution to the wildlife fund and in return sneak out a plastic mason jar full of their spicy sauce!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
I could DRINK that stuff!!!

There was a running contest all week as to who chose the best dessert. We were all 4 on the DDP, and we all 4 got a dessert with every TS meal. All week I chose the best dessert!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
Everyone agreed. My trick was
1) avoid chocolate
2) pick the least appealing dessert
3) do NOT pick the most expensive dessert
It worked! I was amazed myself. We all sampled each other's dessert at every meal (yeah... we're one of those families!) and we all decided each meal that the less appealing desserts I chose just tasted better. I had been the one ordering the chocolate desserts the trips prior to that, and I never found myself really loving the desserts. They were always good, but not spectacular. The cheaper desserts just taste better.
I LOVED the green Tea pudding. the previous year I had the green tea ice cream and I loved it as well.:thumbsup2
Now... there was ONE exception to my rule... The chocolate wave at Coral Reef... That was super yummy!!!

We went to Akershus for the atmosphere, not expecting to really like the food that much (lunch). It was the best lunch we had as far as food! We were so surprised.
I only took a couple of food pics on our trip, definitely here because I don't remember seeing many (if any) of these two meals pictures.
These are both listed on AllEars as being on the dinner menu, but they were on our lunch menus last week (12/7).
DH had the Sauteed Chicken Breast
Served with bean stew, bacon, roasted tomato broth, and seasonal vegetables
Funny little story.... he asked about the kjottkake. He asked the waitress "Is this basically like a hamburger?". She says "Yes, it's just like a hamburger. It looks like a hamburger but it tastes different." I knew she lost him there, lol. He was very happy with his chicken. He doesn't like a lot of fancy food and sauces and this was pretty simple and good.

I had the Grilled Vegetable-stuffed Pasta
with mushrooms and carmelized onion cream
. Very mushroomy and very yummy. I cleaned my plate pretty quickly. Also, another funny story. When ordering drinks, I typically just ask for a diet soda, because I don't care if it's Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke and don't need to hear that they only have one and not the other, etc. So the waitress at Akershus asks what we would like for drinks and I ask for a Diet Soda. SHe says she's sorry but they don't have any. I'm surprised but decide to give it a try another way and ask if they have Diet Coke... they do. It was just interesting because it was a reminder that these servers first language isn't english. I often forgot because they really spoke so well.
