I am wanting to write my child a letter from Mickey prior to leaving for our trip. Does anyone know where I could download or purchase the Disney font? This would help out so much. :D

Thanks in advance for your help!

Twigs, that font site is great! Thanks. I just have one question, is anyone else having trouble downloading the fonts? When I click on the font I want, the page goes to temporarily unavailable. Anyone else have this problem or is it just my computer?

I just tried it and it worked fine. It must have temporarily been out of order.
Great resource! Thanks!

It's working now, the fonts are so adorable! Thanks for sharing,

Thanks everyone! I knew someone would have this info, I really appreciate the responses. This will help make a perfect surprise for my DD.

Thanks again!

I imported the font, now how do I go about using it in Word Perfect? I admit I'm not too swift when it comes to Wp but our other computer just went down nad it had MS Word on it.

It should be pretty much the same way. I don't have WP in front of me so I can't take you through step-by-step, but...
Once the font is imported, it should appear in your list of fonts on the formatting toolbar - the one with bold, italic, etc on it. If you don't see any of those, go to the View menu & look for toolbars. Make sure the formatting one is checked like the standard bar is - actual names may vary I just can't remember what they are.

Type whatever you want to say, highlight it & then go to the drop down list on the format toolbar & click on it. That should change your text.

You should also be able to highlight the text, right click on it & choose "font". That will open up a dialog box with a bunch of choices of things to do. The new fonts should be listed there as well.

I'll be here for a while if you need more help.

Guess I need to rephrase, I downloaded the font, now how do I import it? The help section of WP leaves a lot to be desired. TIA

No problem. Are you using XP? If so, you don't need to import to WP - just to Windows. You need to double click the *.exe files you downloaded. Make sure you pay attention to the place the extract to! I usually put them in a new folder I create so they're easy to find.

Go to "My Computer" & double click on the "C:\" drive. Find the Windows directory & double click on it. Double click on the fonts directory. In the fonts directory go to the FILE menu & choose INSTALL NEW FONT. In the lower half of the window that opens, you need to tell it where you just extracted the *.exe files. Once you tell it which folder it's in, windows finds all the fonts for you. Choose SELECT ALL & then OK. That should be it.

No problem! Glad to help! :teeth: Microsoft kind of "hid" that on us, didn't they?

If you haven't, check out that second link, moms corner for kids. It has a lot of great fonts if you have to do any kind of letter writing for your kids or their class. Thanks again Deb!
