Hi everybody! I'm ABbi! I usually just kinda lurk around here, but I am in desperate need of a Disney Fix. We are in the POSSIBLE process of planning a Spring Break Trip, but between the biting of my fingernails, nervous twisting of my hair, among other things, I need something to do. I love crafting. I'm not the greatest, but most of my things turn out somewhat decent. I have a sewing machine, although I don't know all the nooks and crannies of it. If anyone has any EASY (emphasis on the EASY) ideas for a trip, please lemme know. The reason I need EASY is because I'm, brace yoursef...only 13. So, I kinda need ALL the instructions or a link or something...

Thanks so much!! :goodvibes

Welcome aboard, Abbi. What kind of craft project are you looking for? Sewing, scrapbooking, designing an autograph album?

Hey Abbi!! Welcome to the group!

Let's see, easy craft ideas. You could make a Disney pillowcase for autographs, that's pretty easy to sew.
An autograph book would be awesome! Lots of us premake pages to take with us, pics on one side autographs on the other.
A count down calendar would be great too.
Iron on t-shirt designs are fun and pretty easy to do.

Do you have any younger brothers or sisters? If you do maybe you can make a game for them or if they are older siblings you could design a scavenger hunt to do when you get to the parks.

On the general crafting thread there are instructions (somewhere!:rolleyes1) for tie-dye Mickey head t-shirts - maybe you could make one for all the family to wear on the first day?

Anything, really. As long as it is easy. I'm open for any ideas. :goodvibes

I have a 10 year old brother, but he's not really into the characters and Disney in general. We all know that he enjoys it when he gets there, but he has this whole "I'm-cool" facade. :goodvibes I've made countdown chains in the past, but I usually end up being the only one that does it, cuz people "forget to pull a chain" or they were "late for something." Haha. BUT, I might try a calendar-type one this time. I got some blank iron-ons, I just haven't decided what to put on them bbecause I don't want them 2 be super cheesy. And I LOVE the characters, however, my brother...once again...doesn't care for em, so we usually don't spend time waiting in lines except for maybe mickey or the occasional character meal.

I've seen those. But, it was a while ago, I think, and I don't really remember them. I'll try to find them again/ I also like those where you put down a stencil and spray paint around it. :goodvibes

Thank y'all for all your help. If you think of anything else, let me now, please! :goodvibes

What about cross-stitching. I loved to cross-stitch when I was a teenager. They have easy to difficult cross-stitch designs. I swore I saw a cross stitch thread somewhere??

I have also seen those paint by numbers with Disney Characters at different craft stores. I do not mean the babyish ones geared towards younger kids either. They have more advanced paint by numbers protraits which are fun, and fairly easy. You could also paint disney ceramic characters??

I like those ideas...a lot! I've been wanting to do cross stitch for a while, but I don't know where to look for Disney ones. I love painting, so I'll try and look for both the ceramics and the paint by numbers. Do you know where I could find any of that? Specific craft stores? Joann's, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes
