This will be my first time ever going to WDW. I'm 26 and feeling like I'm 12 I'm so excited right now. :bounce: My girlfriend  and I are going down this Tue Feb 8th and staying a week at ASMu. She's been down before but years ago. It's our third anniversary as a couple :lovestruc and Valentines so I want to make special. I'm sure just the magic of WDW will do quite nicely but I was wondering if anyone had some advice as to what we could do that would make things even more memorable. I see that so many people on these boards have been there so many times that I could really use some of your expert advice. :teacher: I feel like we're gonna go down there have a good time but then get back and hear about something "absolutely wonderful" that we missed out on. So please help this first timer out and give me a few hints or a little drop of advice....Thanks everyone. :grouphug:

Sure your looking for something romantic. Try watching Illuminations at Ecopt in front of Mexico. At the end of the show start walking the opposite way around the World Showcase. By the time you get to Germany or America you will be about the only ones in the park. Walk and enjoy the park with it almost empty. We were able to do this once without the kids it was great.

Be sure to spend time on the BoardWalk at the Boardwalk resort. Rate a bike for two and ride around the lake. Then walk to Beachs and Cream for some icream. If you are adventure some order the kitchen sink.

The comedy club and Adventures club at Pleasure Island is also a great time. One thing to do is take your time, enjoy what you do. If you don't do everything it will be there for the next trip.

thanks for the advice. I knew all you disney veterans would have some good advice for someone like me. I feel like such a freak that I'm 26 and this will be my first time to WDW. I would love to hear some more suggestions. This community rocks.

If you both enjoy music, do not miss the band Off Kilter in Canada at Epcot. They play 5-6 days per week, several times throughout the afternoon and early evening (I think the latest show is 6 pm). Check the Epcot schedule for showtimes. Super band, very professional, and a LOT of fun.

In addition to Illuminations, be sure to see Wishes at MK and Fantasmic at MGM. The nighttime shows are my husband's and my favorites.

Don't miss the "WISHES" fireworks in the MK !! Its 20 min. long and just wonderful!!!!

Do you have an itenerary planned?? Post it..if you want..and we'll check it out!!

Remember..you will get lots of different opinions, which is great...but be sure to ""take your time and smell the roses"""!!

Heres one... call the Disney Florist and have some flowers delivered to the room so they will be waiting inside when you arrive.

That won't really work, as your specific room assignment usually won't be made until you check in. *After* you check in, you could call and have something delivered..

thanks everyone for all your advice...I don't have a set itinerary as those things never go to plan anyway so we're just gonna take our time at each park and hopefully not miss anything. The flowers tip was great. I think I'll definitely do that one. Thanks again everyone. :grouphug:

How exciting, a first timer! I bet you will have a wonderful time. I think that one of the most romantic things to do is to eat out at one of the "fancy" places. We never do that because of the kid thing that we have going on. If I ever get my DH off alone, we will try it too!
Enjoy! :cloud9:

Okay. I hate to keep saying that Disney tells me one thing and having everyone tell me that they didnt so, everyone can take this as they may... I called Disney and asked aboutthis specifically because it will be our 10th anniversary and I wanted to do something like this. They said that they can have the flowers brought to the hotel that morning and then when we check in they can send them to the room and have them there when we get to it. Now everyone can start telling me that they dont do it I suppose.

ttommy2x4, just call the florist. They can set it up for you.
