We returned about a week ago from our first trip to Disney World and loved it. My biggest complaint was we didn't have enough time to enjoy it to the fullest. Of course, we're already planning on a return maybe sometime next year.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it was great. I do have one complaint, though. When we checked in, they gave us a room upgrade to one that looked out on the pool. Previous room was a woods view. In retrospect, I wish we had kept the woods view room. My 7-year old daughter was ready to sleep by 9:00, but couldn't due to the noise from the pool. Also, when the pool is ready to close each night, they play (very loudly) a medley of songs on the speakers that keep you awake until it's finished. Other than that, we really enjoyed the Lodge.

At the parks, everything was great. We had very few lines and those that we encountered were brief. Early May is definitely a good time to go. Sunny every day, but not too hot or sticky yet. Parks were well-kept too. All CMs were encountered were great.

Favorite ride - Space Mountain. Had to go on my own because my hubby was too chicken.

Second favorite: A e between Test Track and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Dinner at Coral Reef was wonderful. Also loved our dinner at the pricey restaurant in WL (whose name escapes me). Food there was excellent and so was the service!

We never made it to MGM, so I can't rate Tower of Terror or Rock and Roller Coaster. Next time!

All in all, we had a wonderful time.

Welcome back! Glad you enjoyed your trip.

I'm thinking you ate at Artist Pointe at the WL? Yummy, wasn't it? Did you try the berry cobbler? soooo goood! (if not - go back next time and try it!)

You're right, we ate at Artiste Point. How could I have forgotten the name?

Anyway, the meal was scrumptious and the service was impeccable. The hostess put my daughter's color picture of Mickey up on the wall, as you come in. Apparently, they do this for all kids who do a crayone pic of Mickey and she was so proud.

Believe it or not we were too full for dessert. The cobbler you described sounds delicious. This will be on our list for our next trip!

Thanks for the reprort Tlady. I fully understand your comment about time running out. Time is perhaps the most precious commodity on a WDW trip...perhaps moreso than money:eek:

I see you are already planning your desserts for the next trip;)
That's a sure sign you have the Dis gene:Pinkbounc ;)
