I comes out quarterly, at best, and the mailing dates seem to be staggered some among the many DVCers. Honestly, there isn't a lot of info in the magazine. They will showcase new resorts, and talk about some non-DVC resort trips on points.
Overall, it is worth a glance, but there is not a lot of real DVC news in the publication.
I guess you probably missed one issue, so far, and it could be that they simply have not sent a new address list to the publishing house...they likely do that quarterly as well.
Only recently I was looking at some old issues on the members website, but now I can't find them no more either. It seems they removed them.
However, I downloaded all the back issues, if you are interested in a particular one, I could mail it to you (or if it's too big, make it available for download somewhere).
There wasn't any news in the issue, but I enjoyed the articles.
I don't see how a printed magazine can really have news anymore what with all the online news things taking any of that thunder away. The best they can do is have interesting articles about behind the scenes stuff.
I'm not a fan of the magazine. If the cost of production, payroll that is spent on this product could be spent on us, rather than this. I'd much rather have reduced dues.
The newest Disney Files has 32 pages. There are six pages of DVC news (not including the photos people send it - used to be one page, now they have two or three of them - FILLER). One of the six is Jim Lewis' message which is so much baloney. All the rest is generic Disney information. I hope dues don't pay for this. Vacation Magic was all DVC all the time.
