Kathy....that's a nice picture BUT we can't see your amazing legs!!! :P

Hey Shaunna- how far away are you from Disneyland? We have APs (I know we live in Utah) But this summer Poohs Honey Pot and I are meeting up in Disneyland for a few days. So if you want to stop in and meet some KLPers before the cruise, feel free!

Hey! What about us??? :sad1:

Sorry I went quiet for so long but you may understand when I finish introducing myself and my mom!

First since I like to save the best for last I'll start with my mom ...just kidding I'll go first she really is the best!

I'm Amy currently 28 but will be 30 when I board the boat (my birthday is May 18th I'll be a newly minted adult....:lmao: ) I am back in college, I am currently studying Sign Language Interpretation for my Associates in Arts which I am currently maintaining Honors in all my classes and then will be moving on to the University of Central Florida for my Double Major Yep you heard that right DOUBLE major! I am majoring in Education, and Communication Disorders. I haven't decided what my Masters will be in yet! I live 12 minutes from Epcot, 45 minutes from Port Canaveral and I am a Full time Student and a Part time Beach Bum :lmao:

The Cruise on the Fantasy will be our 4th sailing, and our 2nd 7 night Eastern. We are creatures of habit plus what a way to celebrate my birthday! and since we have no interest in Mexico the 3 sea days and a new ship it was perfect.

My mother Angela will be 56 when we sail she works full time for a major insurance agency and is a QVC shopping nut....we'd cruise more but it would dip into her savings for buying things off the tv :happytv: :lmao: :lmao: I love cruising....she loves Shopping...yeah I am working on converting her but it seems hard :teacher: for her to see the math of it all. We share an apartment but once I am done in school I will be moving out and on my own...but I'll take the cheap (ie really cheap like free) rent while I can so I can maximize the school funds.

Here is one of the few photos we have together its from our last cruise (november 2010) we did the Wonder 4 night (our 2nd 4 night see a trend we don't vary much ....bahamas or eastern caribbean) and had a wonderful time! My Mother is on the Left and I am on the Right....

We go around every 3 months to watch the ship sail to get our "fix" and we love having dinner at Rusty's we usually end up with a coupon for a buy 1 get 1 free entree so the price is right. I hope to make many more trips down this year to get photos of the dream and then when the fantasy arrives of its arrival.

We will be in a Handicap Accessible stateroom to accommodate my mom's motorized scooter (ecv) and to help her not have barriers to have to climb up into for the restroom area of the stateroom. It will be interesting to see how this helps our expreience after the difficult time we had in November with her back and knees. (Mom had a Spinal Fusion, and a knee replacement in the last 10 years and has 2 more major surgeries facing her in the next 10 years)

Sorry I can talk a lot and type just as much so apologizing now if this was rambling :)

Great to see everyone's pictures and learn more about you.
Speedfigure(sorry I haven't learned names yet)- we are about 7 hours from Disneyland, we live in Northern CA. But we go to Childrens Hospital LA about every 3 months for my daughters treatment and checkups so if the timing is right I would love to meet up with you.

Hey all!

It's official! :woohoo: We're in!!!! :woohoo: I'm soooooo excited! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise... It's our first Eastern :-) I can't wait!!! Our last was the Disney Magic on the Western with the Valentine Voyagers in Feb. of '09. This Feb we are doing a 9 nighter with RCI (the deals were too good to pass up)... For the Fantasy, I'm looking forward to a warmer cruise AND to getting back to Disney's line :-) My boys (all three of them, haha!) like to do low, midship, inside rooms, but I like windows so I'm eager to see the virtual portholes! What a cool idea! Sorry-- I'm rambling... I've been biting my tongue as I hover around bc I didn't want to get my hopes up before I was officially booked :-)

Sooo-- Cruising with us are Jen (Me- 31), Chad (DH- 33), Joey (DS- 9 at sailing), Alex (DS- 7 at sailing). I'll figure out how to do the picture thing later (I was booking between work appointments and don't have much time before my next!).

So excited to join you all! It looks like a wonderful group!!!

Now that our cruise is officially next year I think I can start getting on here more often (well as often as possible with a new 5 1/2 week old right now)!

What part of WV are you from? We're in Princeton.

Opposite end-- We're up in Wheeling :-) About to get hammered by snow, so it was a good day to book the Caribbean, haha :-)

Welcome aboard!!! Another Chad!! My hubby will be 33 with we cruise too.

It's funny, when I see people officially booking onto our cruise, I keep thinking "wow more early birds like us". But then when I really think of it- we cruise in 1 year and 4 months!!!! WOOOOO!!! I've just been looking forward to this cruise for too long! :D It's finally getting closer

JorDan, we were definitely "early birds" considering that we had this cruise planned before we got off the ship in May 2009 :scared1:. We are getting closer :grouphug: !!

Family has left and now I can get on with fun things like -- thinking about this cruise!!!! :dance3:

Welcome Jen and family! My DD (Sabrina) will be 10 at the sailing. I am on the fence on bringing my DS (Kai). If he comes he will be 7.

Will work on getting a picture posted of me and Sabrina later today.

We should work on a name too -- is it too soon to start thinking of magnets? :rolleyes1 I guess anything that can distract me from work right! :goodvibes

Have a good day everyone!

We have a pretty big crew cruising with us. The first photo is me (Amanda - 29), my DH (Jason-29), and my DS (Logan - will be almost 2 when we cruise).
The 2nd photo is a better one of Logan - we are leaving in a couple weeks for his 1st cruise on the Disney Magic. The 3rd photo is my mom (Carole - Tink113sMom), my dad (Bob), and my younger brother (Kevin -23). The 4th photo is my older brother (Rob-36), Sister-in-law (Alison -36) and their boys: Bobby (11 at sailing), Adam (9 at sailing), and Matthew (2.5 at sailing). The last photo is of my husbands family. Mother-in-law (Barb), Father-in-law (Jeff), and brother in law (Eric-24) (My hubby is in the photo too). This will be his family's first time on a Disney cruise and Eric's 1st time cruising EVER!!!

We are all super excited about the trip. Eric has been suffering from some very serious issues lately and has recently had two major surgeries. This cruise has really given him something to look forward to.

LOVE all your pictures Amanda :cheer2:. That one of Logan in the bag is priceless ! I hope Eric enjoys his first cruise (and I hope he has smooth sailing from now on :thumbsup2 ).

Happy to see more people hopping on board. Great to see everyone's pictures and put a name with a face!!

Thanks Kathy!!! Just think of all the photos we will be taking on the ship of our Junior KLPs. :-)

Currently on the Dream - Key to the World is also Key to the LIGHTS!!! "When you come into the room, you put your KTTW card in the slot, which turns on the electricity to the room. When you leave, you (hopefully) take the card with you, which keeps you from leaving a bunch of lights on and thus saving electricity. "

OK, so what happens if you want to leave and your KTTW card is in the slot. Guess you'll have to find your hubby's and switch. Cool concept to save energy, but I'm thinking this might take a little getting used to. Watch, I'll be the one to get stuck in the shower and have the lights go out! :rotfl2:

LOL on the shower! Norwegian Epic had this concept also. Our room attendant gave us a spare card :rolleyes1: on the very first day to put in and leave in. We were told that it controlled the air conditioning again, and we are 'chilly temp' sleepers, so it was a big concern for us.

My assumption is that it does not read the mag strip at all because he pulled a stack out of his pocket and just appeared to pick a random one and put it in. Issue bypassed.

If it doesn't control the air on the Fantasy, then I'm all for conserving a little electricity. :littleangel:

I'm Susan (42) and my DH is Tony (42). We have been married for nearly 22 years and have done Disney in one form or another every other year during our marriage, save for one year that we did a Florida wedding and group concensus was to go to Universal (blasphemy, I know). We are Disney-freaks (the good kind!)---DH even has an arm band tattoo of Mickey heads.

This will be our third cruise, but second Disney cruise. We were on the Magic in Feb/March of 2010, NCL Epic in Sept 2010, and are so excitedly awaiting this Fantasy trip.

We have two kids (Kevin, 21 and Kelsey, 17) that both were on the prior Disney cruise and had a blast. It was Kelsey's 2nd Disney cruise, having traveled as a baby-sitter previously. Only Kelsey (at this point) will be joining us this time around, however we have a slew of family going along:

Lisa (my sister)
Liz (neice) and her twin 6 year old boys (Kayden and Kyran)
Jon (nephew, and Liz's brother)
Jessica (Jon's wife)
Kenlee and Jon-Jon (Jon and Jessica's kids)
Mary Kaye (Jon and Liz's mother, who is also Lisa, mine and Chris's sister)
Grandma Longshore (Jon and Liz's grandma)
Bob and Mona (DH's parents)
Lori (DH's sister) and Robert (Lori's DH)
Lori's son Eric (and his friend Ryan)
Lori's daughter Cortney
Robert's kids (Ashley-16, Robbie-14, Chris-13)
Chris (my brother) and his daughter Elise-18

That clocks us in at 25 people over 10 rooms. And there are others that are contemplating joining us!

We just booked while on the Magic last week.

This was our first DCL cruise and DW loved it so much that we signed up for two more (the other will be in the Med in 2012 once the dates come out).

This cruise it will be me (Bill), DW (Eileen), DD (Jenn - just turned 25) and DS (Chris - 20).

I just went back and read the earlier posts and saw the question about the lower pricing for oceanview vs inside cabins. We were going to get an inside cabin until the DCL rep onboard the Magic said they were higher priced due to the popularity of the virtual porthole. So we opted for oceanview cabins (6004 and 6008). Works for me as one faces forward looking over the bow!

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome!!! Haha-- guess you're hooked now ;) My DH did the same thing on our Magic cruise... We are DVC and I caught him in his dreamy cruise state :cloud9: and we bought another point contract on that cruise b/c he wanted enough points to do more weeks like that-- must be something in the water to addict us :goodvibes
