Disney Fantasy July 2, 2016 Cruise Meet

If we didn't choose to participate in the FE, can we still stop by for the Meet & Greet on Saturday at Vista Café?:earsgirl: I have no clue when we will be arriving, since we are using Disney transfers from POFQ. But we'd like to say hi. Since this was a last minute trip, I am just now deciding on excursions and I think I'd like to try Sunday Brunch. I need to pack this weekend and stop at Party City to check out some pirate wear. DD stopped in POTC shop yesterday at MK but said there wasn't anything that caught her eye.

See ya real soon! :tinker:

Sure! Please stop by the Meet & Greet. It is just dh and myself and we are not doing the FE either. Hope to see you there.

And, don't forget to pack red, white and blue to wear on the 4th of July!!

Just came from shopping - purchased a pretty blue lace top with a red white & blue scarf to go with it! :smickey:

I wonder if any special things will be going on Monday, July 4?

From The Unofficial Guide: Disney Cruise Line 2006 (pp141-142)

"Depending on your ship's itinerary, you will likely see some special onboard activities on July 4. During our 2015 American Independence Day celebration on the Magic, crew members distributed small American flags to any guest who wanted one. There was a lobby party that started with a truly inspiring rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" sung by a Walt Disney Theatre performer, and ended with a dance party featuring Mickey (in an Uncle Sam hat), Minnie (dressed like Betsy Ross), and Chip 'n' Dale (in tricornes caps) bopping along to patriotically themed songs like "Party in the USA," "Born in the USA," and "American Pie," as well as "Sweet Caroline"...because nothing says America like Neil Diamond.

"Other activities included themed crafts, US-history trivia contests, and face painting. The breakfast and lunch buffets at Cabanas were heavy on red, white, and blue dessert items.

"Canada Day also occurred during this same cruise. It got a one sentence acknowledgment in the Personal Navigator. Sorry Canada."

Just an FYI: there's a DVC member soiree in conflict with the meet-up, Saturday at 2:30. I guess we'll have to meet you all sometime else.

Sorry we didn't make it to the Meet & Greet - we were later to the port than originally thought and went directly to our stateroom to get organized!
I hope everyone had as wonderful a time as we did!! The weather was picture perfect! Great cruise staff. We were blessed with a gorgeous vacation!
