Disney Fantasy Eastern ~ Jan 16, 2016

Bareacuda, I mistook the beginning of your name for " Berea" that's a town in Kentucky that has a neat college and a wonderful Artesan center. We stop there often when we head south to FL or The Smokies.

What are our plans for Spring, Summer?? Well, we are trying to sell our Ohio home. I'll be moving into our Cape May NJ house soon ( both Tom and I are from NJ, work took Tom here in 1993). In April, I will have both knees replaced in NJ, so I will be doing rehab for much of the time. We are DVC Members, going on the DVC Member Cruise in August, and we hope by that time our Ohio house will be sold, so we can look around FL for a home. Our goal is to be snowbirds, wintering in FL and summering in NJ.

We visited DL last June after DCL West Bound Panama Canal cruise. That was my favorite cruise ever!

Snow in Arizona! Wow! Would not have thought that. I am not going to be gardening this year, I will miss doing it, but my sister will share her bounty. She has a place in Cape May NJ as well.

:chat:wow... gotten a bit chatty since I left .The house is complete!
Welcome all new cruisers....BTW, Boulder/Denver area is where 2 of our grandsons live... Longmont to be exact. We visited there about a year ago. What a beautiful state.
So what are everyone's plans for the spring/summer?
We're just cleaning out the dead plants that our weird winter brought(snow for 2 days) and summer... finally enjoy the pool. then a 5 day stay at Disneyland for the 60th Anniversary with all the family. well almost all .
Longmont is about 30 minutes from us, great micro breweries up that way!

Spring and Summer...sigh, looking forward to it. DVC Member cruise to Alaska is my top focus right now at the end of May. So excited, we've been to Alaska before, but never on a DVC cruise! My parents are visiting us in July around my hubby's birthday, that is always a good time! And for Labor Day weekend, we have a trip to DL for the race weekend. We are signed up for the 10K, so fingers crossed that DH's knees hold up and we can run it together.

Wow, moving then replacing both knees...we have another friend that did a double knee replacement, and his wife had one replaced about the same time! But if you need it done, it's worth it! Good luck with that!

We've done 2 Panama Canal cruises. We loved them, but love Alaska too. Hard to say which we've enjoyed more. They are so totally different!

Welcome to all of the new cruisers! I added a roll call on the first thread that lists everyone's Dis name and people in your party. Let me know if I've missed anyone or typed someone incorrectly. :)

Hi all,

We are new to this thread but have had our cruise booked since opening day last fall/winter. I cannot remember the exact date.

We are a family of four. We have a DD (21) and a DS (18). Our children are now considered adults by Disney, I am not sure if they will ever be adults in my eyes.

My DH and I are platinum members and the kids become platinum with this cruise. We have been on all four ships and have experience the Med. in 2007, Baltics in 2010 and Alaska in 2011. Alaska was by far our most favorite vacation ever!

DD is excited because she now can enjoy all the wine/beer tastings and our foodie DS is excited about Palo and Remy. I am excited that they still want to vacation with us. I guess if someone else way paying my way, I'd go too!

I am trying to line up an excursion in Tortola to the Baths in Virgin Gorda. After our first cruise, I have learned that we prefer to book excursions on our own and not through DCL. We are able to see so much more on our own.

We are happy to be cruising with you!

Glad to know things are picking up here!
As I said earlier, I'm Margaret and DH and I will be taking our kiddos on our first disney cruise. I love WDW and would go monthly but DH needs a break more often than that. Going on a cruise is our compromise to get away from the chaos of the parks. We live in the Cincinnati area, but we are originally from Michigan. While we like Ohio, Michigan will always be our home.

We are really looking forward to all of the cruise but especially BVI. Hubby has vacationed there several times and absolutely loved it!!

I taught at UCBA, but I've retired now. We lived in Dayton Ohio, but last week we moved to Cape May NJ! I know exactly how you feel, Ohio was nice, but NJ is where we both are from, and it's really home!

Hi! Thank you for adding us to the roll call :). We are 2 adults and two kiddos: dd9 and ds 6 at the time of the cruise. I thought I had posted who we were (oops) but we are from outside of Chicago and looking forward to escaping the winter blues next January!!!! Thanks!

Tortola is new for us. I had to check past cruises, but we went to Turks and Caicos on a previous cruise. That was memorable because there's a museum honoring John Glenn there.

Does anyone have the inside scoop on the chefs table dining situation? From everything I've read it seems you need enough people to fill the small room? Is that correct? We would LOVE a chefs dining table experience! If anyone knows anything or wants to joins in on reserving it if we need a group, that would be great!
