Disney Fantasy, August 18, 2012 - Western Caribbean

wow my 2 daughters have now changed to a 4 night on the dream instead of a 3 night and it was even cheaper, they ended up getting a free night so to speak as it is a vgt reservation for april 29th sailing!Works out better as far as the flights as well as the dates are even cheaper for this time! My 1 daughter went from being in an oceanview cabin to a balcony for no extra and gained the free night! now thats a deal! They have saved a bundle with flights cruise and the disney 30% off discount at the resorts too! Wish I was going with them!:thumbsup2

hI Lola, as far as dressing goes you dont have to wear a long dress some people do ,some dont its up to you., but on formal night most are dressed up and most of the men wear a shirt and tie , or a suit and some even wear a tux.Semi formal is more relaxed attire a nice shirt and jeans Im sure would be okay , really whatever you wear is gonna be okay, on formal night I have seen some wearing jeans and a t shirt although they did look a little out of place as most were dressed up so to speak. As far as women a little black dress would do the trick as you can dress it up or down with assessories!:thumbsup2
Thanks Leslie!!!. I understand everything now
My husband never wears a tie(I hate it): Confused3. I'll take some pants (no jeans) and a shirt for him. : Thumbsup2
I take a regular suit for two nights.I repeat myself dressed: Rolleyes1
I do not want to take my suitcase with clothes for just one day.
buy many things in premium outlet mall and florida mall: Woohoo:
greetings!!!!!

they have been very lucky
we have a lot of envy:thumbsup2:hippie:

I agree with you on taking as little as possible in a suitcase! Ive found I always pack to much , this trip Im gonna take just a few basic things and plan on just 1 suitcase instead of the 2 I usually take! Besides you can always do laundry onboard if needed, packing lite is my plan!:thumbsup2

Laundry service is like that of Disney?.
a room with washers and dryers that run on money?: Confused3

Thank you all for heads up about the dinner.

I can't wait for this cruise, but at the same time when we get back its the end of the summer :sad2: and back to school.

Where are you staying in NY and sites you are planning to see?

Yes there is a laundry room not on every deck but on certain ones, you use your room card , you swipe them , I think its something like a dollar or two for the washers and same for the dryers. There is also an iron and ironing board to use if needed. The laundry room is mid ship at least it was on the magic and I assume its the same on the fantasy, it sure was handy as I did laundry the second day of cruise and also did it on the night before the cruise ended so I wasnt bringing any dirty laundry back home after the trip. It was great to just have to put our clothing away once home and not have to wash it all!:cool1:

Hi everyone,

Haven't checked in for awhile but look occasionally! Since checking in last time, I've booked a 2-bedroom suite at the Marriott Residence Inn for the night before the cruise as we are arriving the afternoon before (for DH, DS5, DS7, myself and my sister). We'll be renting a van to get to the resort and dropping off the next morning. Same thing for trip back - we'll pick up a new rental car and head back to Disney World for an 11 day trip to finish off the summer (I'll already be down there so I might as well stay.... :cool1:). We have annual passes so it won't be that much more comparatively.

It's been such a mild winter here in NJ that I'm crossing my fingers that there won't be any snow days (for the schools). If that's the case, we'll earn 3 days back where they'll give the kids three days around Memorial Day off. So.... I might just head down to Disney for 6 days. Airfare's not bad right now - about $230 all in. That's what having AP's does to you - makes you want to go back and back and back...

I was thinking of taking a peek at the Fantasy when it docks in NY this week, but I'm too lazy!!!! I'll be too jealous of all those that get to take the tour. I'll wait until we get there in August. In the meantime, I'm getting prepared to get certified in scuba so I can dive in Cozumel. I've been diving a couple of times before with a resort course but would like to just get the whole certification thing done so I'm set forever! I love love love diving. I work at a university (Rutgers) and they offer scuba here, so I'll probably take it sometime in May or June.

Starting to get really excited!

Jen

Welcome, peytonbrady (my sister-inlaw ;))

I have another quick question with all the people signed up in RED to to the FE, do we make one for the adults too? I have finally narrowed down what I am making and would need to start now :rotfl:

thanks,

Lisa

It's completely up to you. You can leave one gift per cabin; or one per person; or for kids only; or one for kids one for adults; or..... :goodvibes Have fun with it is the main thing!

Hi,
Just a quick note for the FE in our room will be just my husband Ray & myself Jane (celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary). My family traveling with us are in their rooms (cherokee2504 & PeytonBrady).
Hugs
