Hi Frenchtink, no you dont have to have anything special on pirates night , its all up to you. not sure if Im understanding your question about it sorry . you dont have to have something geared to pirates night, the fe stands for fish extender which is the little fish hook type thing outside the cabin door which is used for mail and that sort of thing. you hang your bag on the fish hook, hence the name fish extender. How did you like the dream? The fantasy looks awesome, I had booked on the dream but changed our plans to the fantasy instead, May book a trip on the dream for a short trip to Florida next December as I love going when all the xmas decorations are up, I really missed not being there this xmas so may do a trip dec 2012 for a few days.

On my last cruise on the Dream, FE was full at the Pirate's party.

The Dream is very beautiful ! We loved teh Enchanted garden, the new atrium, Cabana restaurant is great, ... It's very bigger than Wonder or Magic.

I'll try to take pictures for you of Fantasy on this saturday ! I hope that the rain will not fall.

At last, I hope you understand what I write, because I'm not very good in English, it's not as well as I want...

Glad to have you aboard. 7 cruises - Wow. This is only our second.
Your so lucky to being going to see the Fantasy Float out. I've been looking at the most recent pictures and its great to see that it actually looks like a ship now. You can actually see furniture through some of the windows now. It has been fantastic seeing it come along.

Ah, mais non. Je parle francais... un peu! I took 4 years of French in high school - a very long time ago! (and I just checked my spelling and grammar online)

With the fish extender, you can deliver the gifts at any time before the last night (when everything must be packed up to go home).

Maybe I will try to brush up on my French before the cruise!

So did everyone have a great new years eve? I had to work night shift but was off at xmas so I can t complain. Frenchtink your english is very good and I too took french in high school but long ago and dont know much now, guess Id better brush up on it as well lol The cruise is really starting to get closer as compared to when we started the countdown, time to start making some payments to get it paid off before final due date. Still trying to deceide on a pre or post stay and for how long and at what resort. Kinda looking at old key west never stayed there before, it looks like a nice resort and the plus is that my 2 grandkids would have their own bedroom, hope some kind of discount will be available for my timeframe.Havent even thought about any excursions , this is our second cruise to the western caribbean so not to worried whether we do any at all. Would maybe like to rent a cabana and will do some alone time in the spa but no other plans as of yet. Its getting cold here now and we are expecting snow in the next day or so , wish we were heading down to port canaveral NOW!

We will go on this cruise. We have been on 3 Disney cruises and 1 RCCL.
In Febuari we will go on a cruise whit RCCL around Dubai.

We hope to go to look at the Disney Fantasy when she is going over the Ems to the Netherlands. We did this also whit the Dream. Great to see a Disney ship so close to our home.

Can t wait to be setting foot on her in August! Stacey tell us all about your cruise on the dream for new years did you encounter any problems with the dream? How were the pools were they very crowded ? I have heard that they were not very big for the size of the ship what did you think? How were the meals, any pics?

Well, the ship was a beauty!!!! Very Very Large - we were forward and I felt everything else was Aft - so it took a while to get to the Aft.....getting off the ship to go to port was a little weird...on 2nd floor but can access it from different places - so you would have to go up then to mid ship then back down...very confusing. Food was good, very clean ship, very nice workers, shows were good, comedy was good...felt they could have done more for New years eve - we were all thinking lobster as a dish to make it special, but nothing really.....but it was fun! The line for the Aqua Duck could at times be 45mins, but some at certian times was only 10 mins...did it 3 times and it was really fun and very safe! Pools were very crowded All in all it was great!!!! Can't wait to do the Fantsy The rooms were much better then the older ships, there is now a ton of room under the bed for all your luggage which is a plus - I use to have to jam them in the closet, they now have awesome blow dryers at the desk area - not that crappy ones in the bathroom they also have night lights in the ceiling - which is good for when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night - gets very dark. Hope this helps some - I will try to post some pics if I can figure that out Bye for now!

Sounds like it was a great cruise on the dream, I hope that they have fixed some of the problems that have been reported with the dream on the fantasy. The pool area for 1, but Im sure the aqua duck more them makes up for the crowding with the pools. I hope we get to see some pics! Happy planning everyone 7 months cant come soon enough!

Its only 6 months and 14 days until we leave on our trip. Not that I'm excited or anything.

Its starting to come together now. I think I've got someone to look after my business while I'm away. Just have to find someone to look after all my animals and house now.

I've been looking at excursions again to try and decide what to do. We want to do something in each port and I think we've decided in Costa Maya and Grand Cayman. Just not sure in Cozumel. We are wanting to squeeze in some shopping time aswell. I've found something we like but not 100% sure yet. Has everyone else decided if they are doing excursions yet? We are hoping for a cabana at Castaway Cay but of course, we will be lucky as we cant book until 90 days out.

Formal dresses are taken care of. I'm just wearing the one I wore last time, but the kids have new dresses that they are excited about. Just have to organise semi -formal night (or Sammy Formal night as its called in our house).

How are everyone elses plans going? Or am I getting ahead of myself.

Don't panic. Its a little different for us. We are travelling for a month. So we need to be prepared. This is only a small part of our trip.

And i enjoy the planning. I love reading through the excursions to see whats on offer and discussing it with the rest of the family what we are going to do on the ship and in each port. When I'm booking, I like to be sure I've made the right decision and have not rushed into anything. And of course, its summer holidays here. Once we get back to school in February and life begins as normal, we will have no time to plan at all. I need to be sure that everything at home for the trip is organised (work, house and pets) as i just wont have time next month.

We booked two inside deluxe connecting staterooms for this cruise. Our family lives on Eastern Long Island and originally had last August booked with the Dream.... but we now have a new addition to the family and he will be 22 months old for this cruise. Mom, Dad, Alex 14, Carly 11, and Zach 1. Horray!
