Very cool to see people from the Western NY area...I thought there might be quite a few NY families on the cruise since we start school later! My DD is very excited to meet other little girls to see in Oceaneer's Lab since her brothers will be off in Edge.

Does anyone know if the stateroom have hair dryer in Bath room?

They do but I heard they aren't very powerful.

I have heard that there is one, however they also said that they are not strong. I am taking my own due to that statement.

I just asked Suz (as I'm a guy and don't dry my hair ) what it was on the Dream last year, because I thought it wasn't the same as the Magic and Wonder.

I was right, she said they have one you need to plug in now, but you need to do it by the mirror at the desk, not the bathroom. She said it was better than the ones on the Magic and Wonder, but she is still bringing her own.

I've been packing for two weeks now! Well, "packing" in the sense that I have an over-the-door shoe hanger for the trip which is on my bathroom door now. As I see things around the house that I don't want to forget... they go in the hanger. Sunscreen, 6 outlet strip, laundry stuff, dishwashing stuff....

We leave on Wednesday and I've been in a mild panic for about a week! Finishing up the FE gifts tomorrow morning, laundry marathon tomorrow & Monday nights, and then the fun part of trying to fit everything into just 2 suitcases for me & DS.

FE's done, hair done, mani/ pedi done, laundry (almost) done (i hope), need to print the stateroom number magnet, then it is off to the task of remembering everything to pack, ugh!!

I need to remember sunscreen, what about beach towels, are you allowed to take the ones on the ship on the excursions?

We leave Tuesday morning. So much to do in 24 hours....

We leave Friday also. My husband is all packed but I haven't started mine yet. I know what I am taking so I just have to pull it out. I hope this week flies by fast. I am getting excited!!!

Yes, they do allow you to take the towels off the ship. If you have an excursion with DCL and will be in the water, they will actually have racks of them at your check in area. Otherwise, just go to the pool deck the night before to get what you need and pack those in your day bag. They'll have bins for you to put them in as well when you get back to the ship.

Luckily, this is the first DCL cruise where we didn't book it 1-2 years in advance. Only 50 days this time and during my busy time, so it flew by for me.

Can't wait for Saturday and getting on the ship.

NOt packed and we are leaving California around 1230pm on Friday. Have so much to do!!!

Getting excited!! A little worried about our extended balcony room. Hope it works.

*** Trying to have a meet up with any young girls who want to play together. I have about 9 bracelets to pass out at the pool. But worried we wont be there by 1pm.
