Keep in mind these pictures are of the accessible room verandah, which is massive. The regular 4E verandahs are half that width.
By accessible, do you been HA? (handicap)

Hi, would you recommend this room for family of 4?( DH, me, DS18 & DD8) we are on deck 10 1048(Deluxe Oceanview stateroonw/ verandah) and I was thinking this could be small for our family and thinking of switching to a Deluxe family w/ verandah and the cheapest rate I can is deck 5 and 565o\0 is still available. thanks.-
Nope, that is not an accessible room verandah. That is a regular room, (like a category 5), with an extra large verandah, because of its location at the end of the hall beside the kids club. The lifeboats are on the other side of the verandah. The stateroom is a 4E on the Fantasy room 5650.Keep in mind these pictures are of the accessible room verandah, which is massive. I agree the room is not as large as the other 4's and the tub and shower are not as nice. If you want a huge verandah it is great. We had a GTY 6A and were put in this room and it was very nice, however I wouldn't pay for this room if I was going for a category 4 room I would prefer to stay in a 4D and above. We stayed in a 4B and got more use out of the space in the room than we did the in the 4E with the huge balcony.Cat 5a 10148 and cat 4e 5650 are the same size internally, 203 sqft. 5650 balcony is at least 10 X bigger than all cat 5a's.
Many feel the cat 4e's should be renamed.
The "family" balcony cabins with more internal space (256 sqft) are cat 4a - d.
HTH
We are 3 and stayed in the room comfortably. There are 4 beds so you can definitely fit. If you think you would use your the balcony a lot, I would stay there. It was very convenient to the kids club and it a quite location.Hi, would you recommend this room for family of 4?( DH, me, DS18 & DD8) we are on deck 10 1048(Deluxe Oceanview stateroonw/ verandah) and I was thinking this could be small for our family and thinking of switching to a Deluxe family w/ verandah and the cheapest rate I can is deck 5 and 565o\0 is still available. thanks.-

Zombie edit? Not sure what you mean. If you meant the change on the original post with the pictures, I added the non accessible so people wouldn't think it was.Nice zombie edit. So, though it's not an accessible room, as I said, it is *not* indicative of a standard 4E verandah. The width shown is not what to expect from most 4Es. These pictures will leave a *lot* of people very disappointed.
This is what to expect from all but a couple of 4E verandahs. Image pulled from another thread.
ETA; fwiw the 7a cabins 5024 and 5524 are not private at all due to extended balcony next door in these 4e's.
Most folks assigned these two cabins are not the most pleased unless assigned at a deep discount through a *GT rate.
Yes, we stayed in 5150 on both Magic and Wonder and 5650 on the Magic. You do have to stand in order to see over the wall. We stayed on the Dream in 5192 which was an oversized aft verandah and you could easily see over the short metal part while seated. Our little one was 3yo when we were on the Dream and she was able to see fine through the plexiglass while standing. She was 4, 5, and 6 while on the Magic and Wonder and even though she is pretty tall for her age, we had to hold her while she stood on a chair to see over the wall.Hmmm...I was just re-reading some reviews (the ones at the top of this page under stateroom room reports. Reviews for 5150 and 5650 both say that they have full metal walls. I think the one for 5150 even says you need to stand up to see.![]()
I never said that all 4E's have that verandah I said that this was the balcony for stateroom 5650. That was the stateroom we stayed in and that was the balcony for that room.
That is some insane knowledge!
Cabin 5658 on the Fantasy has been out cabin of choice for the last 3 years or so. While it is a few doors down from yours it is closer to The Tube and I can say that you can't really hear ANY noise from either the kids or the adult clubs! The only time you'll hear something is if a stampede of kids are running down the hall and even that is remarkably muffled. The amount of sound deadening they put in those cabins is quite remarkable!I just booked 5650 on the Disney Dream for April. Do you think the balcony is the same size and layout? Also, will they bring you a recliner chair if you ask for it? How was the noise factory from the kids club? It looks like the hallway is cut off and that you can't go directly to the kid's club from this room. Is that true?
