Hi Fellow Disers,
I know it's been discussed here previously, but I have to encourage ALL of you to watch the Sherman Brothers Documentary (currently on our cable 'on-demand'). I have been putting it off, but wow, I'm so glad I took the time to see it and I know all of my fellow Dis lovers will totally enjoy and appreciate this documentary. There was tons of great video of Walt and insight into his personality. I'm sitting down to watch it again with my DS 11 and DD 5, they are totally into it, they know all the songs! I want them to have the same appreciation for all things Disney that I do. Anyway, I hope you take the time to see it!
Have a magical evening!

I saw it On-Demand here. Such a fantastic documentary! Im thinking I need to purchase it to have as part of my collection.

I'd love to see this- but it is not offered on my "On Demand" comcast service.

I have pre-ordered the DVD through amazon though. It releases near the end of November.

I loved it! I watched it over and over and over! Yes, I admit it!! I can't wait to own it and add it to my collection. I really hope they reconcile before one of them passes on. Their story really made me sad (I shed some tears) even though all their songs and interactions with Walt were incredible. I am not best friends with my sisters, but I could never imagine being at an event together on separate sides of the seating areas. So sad. :(

I watched mine on Amazon on Demand - you purchase it and download it to your Tivo!! :)

Hi there, what is the title of the DVD please? I'm guessing it will never be shown on this side of the pond and it sounds very interesting, I may get it in December :thumbsup2

the title is "the boys, the sherman brothers story"..........after reading the OP's post yesterday i began to research this...........cant help myself.........this is actually a fascinating story worthy of the hollywood treatment.....two bros working side by side for over 50 yrs and had absolutely no personal interaction outside of work, their children did not even know each other even though they lived within blocks of each other........i hardly ever recommend anything that i have not actually seen but i did see the trailer and read extensively about them and i would say you cannot go wrong here.........even if this was not a Disney related story it would be worth your time just for the human side of it.

What section of On Demand?

I was able to find it in the 'new releases' section of the movies on our 'on demand'.

It's totally worth buying IMO, so Becx N Gav, I would try and order it through amazon. Perhaps some of you may also check your local library. I just read 'Cast Member Confidential' and borrowed it from the library, which I am glad because it was not exactly what I was expecting...hmm...off topic a bit, maybe another thread!

Anyway, can't imagine any of us Disers not enjoying this movie, such amazingly talented gentlemen, I'm so glad their sons took the time to create a tribute to their amazing talent and contribution to Disney.

i consider Chris Mitchell a hack.......i would like to ask him to document some of the incidents in the book.......there was a long threat that got..........well........like most long threads get sooner or later.......about this about 6 monthes age.

yeh, that was a wierd book, I just felt like he was making stuff up as he went, anyway, I would skip it... I should have looked into it more before I read it. Have a Disney day!

Yikes! I just read that thread - let's not go there again, sorry I brought it up!:scared1:

Watch the Sherman Brothers Documentary, it's the reason we all love Disney, it was awesome!:flower3:
