Disney Fanasty September 21-28, 2013 Easteren Caribbean

Don't they hold any back for those wanting one once they board? (Kicking sand and pouting).

There are only 20 available...so it's really hard to get one. I think they hold a few for concierge and suite guests to book once onboard. Next time I'll have to book concierge or make friends with a platinum member. Lol.

If anyone else is interested in the FE, please let me know ASAP. I know we still have plenty of time, but want to make sure everyone knows that we will close the FE to additions 45 days prior to sailing.

Welcome aboard, Steph. What part of NJ are you from? We live just north of the border in NY.

I love the fact that on today's birth of our country, our countdown is at 76 days.

Hi Everyone! My sweet DH and I will be on this cruise celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Would love to join in and get to know you. Is there a FE group we can join? It is our first time sailing family concierge and I for one am super excited to be doing so!!

Is our 35th too! September 17th, 1978.

Sandy - we are in South Jersey, around Atlantic City. But we will be flying out of JFK for the cruise.

A few questions for you veterans as I approach my booking opening Monday. We want to make dinner reservations at Palo but when is the best night to try to get in? I have 2 young kids so we don't want to miss the first night at Animator's. In one of my guidebooks it says we might expect AP the first night of the rotation since we do have young kids but every else I read says you won't know until check in. Also don't want to miss Pirate night. Any thoughts?

I want to reserve bibbidy bobbidy for my daughter. Was wondering the best time for that as well. Was thinking princess night, unless of course that's when we do Palo.

Finally, recommendations for shore excursions with a 5 and 7 yo?

Thanks in advance!

Steph

Welcome!

We have a group on FB - that's where most of the activity is. Request access to that group here:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/424...d=665653773449332&notif_t=group_comment_reply

Once you do that, PM me (facebook.com/fundulidae) there with your DISname and your FB name and I will approve the request.

If you want to be part of the FE, also PM me your email address and I will give you access to the Google doc where we are keeping that information. This way everyone can update their own info.

The google doc isn't FE specific - its a good resource even if you aren't participating in the FE - it's a place to put names, staterooms numbers, celebrations, etc.

This is shaping up to be a really great group and I'm very excited to meet everyone!

I can't offer much advice - but can tell you this...

1) if you want Animator's on your first night, you can call and request this through DCL (or your TA can, if you used one)
2) I prefer to do Palo/Remy on Enchanted Garden night - it's my least favorite of the restaurants
3) In the FB group, there is a pinned post/document at the top, in there, you can see what night is pirate night, semi-formal night & formal night. Palo on formal night would be really cool since you have to dress up for that anyway.

Can't help with Bibbity Bobbity since we don't have kids.

If you're worried about missing AP, just don't book the first three nights. Pirate night is most likely Tuesday night, so shoot for Wednesday or Thursday night.

Just out of curiosity, why fly out of JFK instead of AC, didn't the price difference get offset by the cost of getting to JFK?

Dining schedule:

1 - Sat/Embarkation: Rotation Menu
2 - Sun/Day at Sea: Rotation Menu (Formal Night)
3 - Mon/Day at Sea: Rotation Menu
4 - Tue/St Maarten: Pirate Menu (Pirate Night)
5 - Wed/St Thomas: Prince & Princess Menu
6 - Thur/Day at Sea: Captain's Gala (Semi-formal Night)
7 - Fri/Castaway Cay: See Ya Real Soon Menu

Rotations are: AERAERA, ERAERAE, RAERAER

A - Animator's Palate
E - Enchanted Garden
R - Royal Court
