What are some Disney Extra's that should not be missed if you have a few extra dollors to spend? Something you and your family did that made your trip extra memorable??

:listen:

The Horse Drawn Carriage Ride through Fort Wilderness, and you have to have Carrie as your driver. We ended up doing it twice when we went in February.

Pirate Cruise for the kids or Wishes/Illumination Cruise for the whole family!

:) Michele

The Family Magic Tour is one of our favorites! We have even done it twice in one trip. I booked it this week for our Dec trip. The Pirate Cruise is wonderful, too. All of the Grand Adventures for kids get high marks from my dd's.

Wonderland Tea Party at Grand Floridian. My girls are still talking about it!

We can't wait to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK now that DD is going to be 16 our next trip :goodvibes DS has been patiently waiting....
And we're also going to do a Sedgeway tour around EPCOT. That's for DS. He got hooked on those when they first showed up at Innoventions a few years ago. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

This Aug DS13 & I will be on our first Illuminations Cruise - thanks Liz

The Wonderland Tea Party was great. It's at the GF. No parents are allowed, just kids. They play games and have "tea" with Alice and the Mad Hatter. My DD was 5 at the time and loved it.

We also did the Family Magic Tour with 5yo DD and 9yo DS. Great fun!

Every trip I order something from the Disney Florist to be delivered to our room. They have great treats/baskets on their website and can add many other foods/souvenirs.

Buy something at the parks and have it monogrammed. You will have memories that will last forever.

This past May, we bought two Christmas ornaments in the shape of Mickey head and ears at the Christmas shop at MK and had them monogrammed with our girls' names and the date that we got them, which just happened to be my younger daughter's 3rd birthday. Now se will always remember our fun vacation every holiday season!

And I second the Wonderland Tea Party and the Pirate Cruise ideas. My 5-year-old did both of those, and we sent along a disposable camera with her both times. She brought back some wonderful memories from both adventures.

Our whole group of 8 LOVED the Wishes cruise - we did an unbirthday celebration for everyone ($206)! Best seats in the house for the fireworks.

Also, I sent my DH, dad and brother on the Segway tour at Epcot ($68 a person if you use your Disney Visa - $80 without). They LOOOOOOOVEEEDDDDDDDD it! I was the hero of the trip! :sunny:

For us it is any of the character meals. We try to do at least two on each trip, letting DS10 and DD6 each pick one with their favorite characters. The kids get so much interaction with the characters. I highly recommend Cinderella's Royal Table...my daughter was in awe for the rest of the day ;) .

My favorite thing is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review. We always go and have a GREAT time - I can't recommend it enough.

Also, taking a ride in the water mice on the Seven Seas Lagoon is always fun!

I thought the character meals (we did two) were well worth the money. We did Princess Storybook Lunch (this was the highlight of DD's trip) and Garden Grill at Epcot w/Mickey, Pluto, Chip'n Dale. At both, the food was good-quality and more than adequate, and the kids just love the experience of meeting the characters up close. Also, you don't have to stand in line at the Toontown Fair, then.

Cirque Du Soleil!!!! I highly recommend it. My girls, 8 & 5, just loved it. They still talk about it to this day and can't wait to see it again.

It was absolutely amazing.
