Disney Extends Onboard Booking Discount Expiration Again

FYI (if this wasn't posted elsewhere), I called into DCL and it appears that they've extended out the applicability of onboard booking discounts made in 2019 until September 21, 2022. Our onboard booking discount originally would have expired in early September 2021. This means that everyone currently holding an onboard booking discount should be able to switch the discount to any of the new itineraries opening tomorrow, but I'd call into Disney to be sure.

Thank you so much for posting this. I was under the impression that the OBB had to be attached to an existing reservation to be used next week. I just called Disney and they confirmed that I can use my placeholder that would have expired Feb 22 for a cruise in May 22. So you are correct. The expiration dates of the existing placeholders have been extended to Sept 2022.

Yes, this is why we are rebooking our November 2021cruises.been pushing 2 placeholders every time they extend. Ugh. I no longer get excited booking anymore.

Is that placeholders, or just if you had OBB bookings on a cancelled cruise?

I just have a placeholder that was never attached to a cruise. I called Disney yesterday and they told me the expiration date was extended to Sept 2022. I am gold so I plan to use it tomorrow.

I can confirm this -- I had a placeholder from a July 2019 cruise that I had not converted to an actual cruise, and my travel agent was able to apply it to a July 2022 sailing today.
